US Mobile sells a handful of new (and sometimes used) smartphones, flip phones, and tablets on its website. Their phone selection includes mostly iPhones, featuring brand new flagships and some older models. Their Android options include several newer flagships and older smartphones from HTC, LG, Sony, Samsung, among others.

Because US Mobile does not have a device installment program, there is only one way to purchase a US Mobile phone—outright.

All US Mobile phones and devices come unlocked with a free SIM card.

US Mobile iPhones

US Mobile sells the latest iPhone flagships as well as some older models. Much of US Mobile’s iPhone selection is newer, so prices can run up to and over $1,000. This can make it very difficult to join US Mobile if you want to purchase a new phone because you’ll need to pay for it all in one go.

A few examples of US Mobile iPhones include:

  • iPhone XR
  • iPhone XS
  • iPhone 8

If you want a Good list of cheap Android phones, US Mobile is not your carrier.

US Mobile Android Phones

US Mobile sells more iPhones than Android phones, so if you’re in the market for a new Droid, you’d be better off buying from a different MVNO. US Mobile’s Android phones are mostly older models and there are only a few to choose from.

If you want a better Android selection to choose from, we recommend checking out Boost, TextNow, or Ting instead. You’re not going to find any of Samsung’s or LG’s newest releases at US Mobile.

Some of US Mobile’s Android phones include:

  • HTC One M10
  • LG Rebel 3
  • Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

How to Buy a US Mobile Phone

Unfortunately, US Mobile doesn’t offer financing plans to help you pay for your phone, which means you’ll have to pay in full up front. This makes it harder to buy the more expensive flagship US Mobile phones.

US Mobile does sell used phones from time to time (also known as “open box” items) which could mean discounted prices, however, if you still need to pay for your phone in monthly installments, you’ll need to look elsewhere.

Check out the following MVNOs that offer installment plans (and a wider variety of phones):

Bring Your Own Phone (BYOP)

Since US Mobile uses T-Mobile and Verizon networks, you can bring almost any GSM or CDMA phone to US Mobile as long as it’s unlocked (most Verizon phones come unlocked).

To switch to US Mobile and BYOP, follow these simple steps:

  1. Purchase a US Mobile SIM card kit (online-only)
  2. Activate your SIM via US Mobile’s website
  3. Select a plan and start using your plan

How to Switch Carriers and BYOP

US Mobile Will Unlock your AT&T Phone When you Switch for a small refundable fee.

US Mobile Unlocking Program

If you want to switch to US Mobile from AT&T but your phone is locked, US Mobile will unlock it for you for a small fee. If you sign up with US Mobile and have an active account for six months, your fee will be refunded.

It’s important to note that in order to switch carriers and unlock any device, you should first make sure any outstanding balances are paid off. Other requirements may also exist, so unlocking directly through your original carrier is usually best (and potentially free).
