ZTE

Founded in 1985, ZTE (formerly Zhongxing Telecommunication Equipment Corporation) is a Chinese telecom equipment company based out of Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. ZTE is a multinational corporation doing business in several areas of the world including the United States. ZTE USA has its headquarters in Richardson, Texas.

When it comes to cell phones, ZTE specializes in budget-friendly phones. But cheap in price doesn’t necessarily mean cheap in quality. You might be paying less than $200 for your ZTE phone, but it is not exactly going to be crumbling in your hands once you get home. ZTE phones are known for durable designs and slick aesthetics. Specs on some of the ZTE phones are not far behind the specs you’ll find in more expensive flagships. Strong processors and AMOLED displays can be found on ZTE phones.

You won’t be encountering an obscure operating system on a new ZTE as their phones ship out with Android installed. While ZTE isn’t rivaling Samsung or Apple, the value of their phones makes them an excellent choice for anyone who wants an adequate device at a reasonable price.

ZTE phones are available through all major carriers (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint) and most MVNOs in the US.
