Huawei

While Huawei is a name that might not be instantly familiar to Americans, the Chinese technology conglomerate has incredible clout worldwide. Indeed, Huawei is—believe it or not—the second-largest manufacturer of smartphones in the world.

Huawei began producing handsets in 2004. The company’s current lineup includes the Mate 20 and its many variants, the P20 and P20 pro, nova 3, and numerous others. The Mate 20 is Huawei’s flagship, with premium features that make it a worthy competitor to the latest Apple, Samsung and Google smartphones. This includes an insanely fast processor, a three camera setup, in-screen fingerprint scanner and dual SIM functionality. Not all Huawei devices are readily available in the United States though, and this includes the Mate 20, though it can be tracked down on Amazon. 

As you’d expect from one of the world’s leading phone makers, Huawei makes a variety of affordable devices as well. Even the company’s lower-end devices sport snappy processors and decent cameras, punching far above their weight.
