I personally wouldn't recommend Virgin Mobile USA to a dog. I consider this to be a shame as the company have a great reputation in the UK. I recently swapped phones and was only using less than 10 MB of data calls. Virgin claimed to my wife and I had used 30 MB in less than 3 days which to be quite frank is impossible. I then got in contact with their customer service team who basically sent me from department to department with no explanation given by any one. I have since decided to let this month run out and go to another network.

Has anyone in Missouri ever had this service? Is Central Missouri covered? Can I use an AT&T phone with this plan?

I've had VM service for over a year now, I live in Austin, TX; prior service was Sprint for 5 years. I will say VM has had it's moments, but I hung in there (due to price) and it's all good. The VM customer service has gotten 500% better, it would have been customer service issues that I would have left. Now when I call everyone seems concerned and helpful. For being Sprint's no contract step-child I will say it's feeling better these days. I live in a ravine in the NW area and cell service inside the house is extremely challenging (outside no problems) but with Google Voice and my Android cell phone I make it happen in the house. BTW: no matter if you're on a GSM or CDMA network, reception is all the same where I live. No other service beside VM and GV is needed for home communication to the outside world. I'm on the 300 minute talk with unlimited data/text for $25 (currently $35) but I was grandfathered in on the VM old plan. The phone choices are not so hot, but they are getting better. If I needed unlimited everything I would consider a move to MetroPCS for $40 a month and better phone selections.

Got the bargain plan--300 minutes, unlimited text & data for $25/month. Pros: inexpensive. Cons: customer service sucks. Be prepared to talk to "Candy" from India if you need something. Billing was a hassle early with a couple months double billed. Recently started receiving nusiance calls from an auto-dialer in Houston. Police said have your cell phone company block the number. Virgin can't/won't do this, so I get to receive 200+ nuisance calls a day on my cell phone. Looking for new service provider now.

Why did you have to "add" minutes "prepaid" minutes to your phone? This reads "unlimited" minutes- not understanind

Don\'t do it! I could not even get any prepaid minutes added to my phone, because there was a glitch with their website and none of my credit cards worked. Tried for days! Just excuses. Its like they didn\'t even care to have my business.
