Absolutely love it i get compliments all the time about it. camera takes really good pictures and you can do a bunch of stuff to the pictures on the phone. decent battery life i would recommend a car charger for it though. mine was only 4 bucks i got it on this website. i was scared to buy it at first because i am a LG person but the katana is awesome. oh and Sprint is really good too i used to have Verizon i think they are about the same quality. great customer service and at a cheaper price

I love this phone! I live in rural Vermont and have not had very good luck with service, then I switched to sprint and I get service everywhere~ I bought two Katanas, one for me and one for my boyfriend. These phones can take a beating, he is a carpenter and is constantly dropping his phone, I work in mental health and my phone has been thrown and dropped on numerous occasions, the only thing that his phone did not withstand was a bath in the toilet. Sprint had us a new phone in two days! I am very satisfied with the phones and the plan, the only complaint I have is the ringer volume, I cant hear it, especially in the car with the music on and windows down..but that is what vibrate is for..

I was quite pleased with my Sanyo Katana cell phone for about two weeks. At that point, I began having major problems getting it to turn on and stay on after charging. I used only the Sanyo approved chargers received at purchase and took very good care of it. However, I had to take it back because it would not stay on after I charged it. I thought maybe it was a fluke thing and was still inside my time frame to exchange it. I did, and the same thing happened except this time, it was not until 3-4 weeks later, putting me in a bind with a cell phone that isn't dependable. I spoke at length with the gentleman who sold it to me to make sure I wasn't doing something to damage the phone, and found that it wasn't me. So, though I loved the phone in all other aspects, I believe it could have some sort of manufacturing defect.

I have the Cherry Blossom Pink Sanyo SCP-6600 Katana and I love it. It is easy to use and the call quality is great. I have always had either Sanyo or Motorola cell phones, and I must say that the Katana is by far the best phone I have had in quite some time.

My employer provides its employee's with new cell phones every couple of years, they even pay our bill! Usually my company will pick which cell phones we get & it is usually whatever cell phone that comes free with the new contract. This year I received the Samsung A640 cell phone. I'm sorry, but this phone was the worst piece of junk I have ever used. It had numerous problems & flaws so I told my company to e-mail Samsung and tell them they really should have spent more time on development of this cell phone. So, I ended up sweet talking my company into letting me have the Sanyo KATANA. OMG, what a difference, this cell phone is everything I need & more. It is one of the coolest looking cell phones on the market, the name fits, and the features are all great. The only thing that I don't like is the where you plug in the charger cord, it's on the side of the phone with this weird rubber slithered cover. I'm sure sooner or later the cover will probably break off. The volume button being on the top flip takes some getting use to but not a problem. The picture clarity is ok, but could be better. Let's face it there is no perfect cell phone, but the KATANA has more good than bad in it.

I just got the Sanyo Katana cell phone. I got the cherry blossom pink one. I absolutely love it. I also like Sanyo. Sanyos and Samsungs are my most favorite brands of phones.

The phone's features are easy to use and fit me well. The earpiece reception, however, is terrible. I have tried adjusting the volume, but everyone still comes through sounding like they're Jack White with his mouth too close to the microphone. The design is sweet, the battery would last longer if the phone wasn't always roaming (that's Sprint's sketchy network, not the phone), and the "Favorites" folder allows me to easily access my favorite features. Overall I like the phone (except the blaring earpiece).

I got this phone yesterday-and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!! I love Sanyo anyway-and I had a 3200 which I thought was fabulous-but I like the Katana II much better. Photos are more clear and sharp, battery life is excellent and as w/ any other Sanyo phone I've had-phone calls are much better! My internet loads faster on this phone-and I just like the way it feels. I also think the speakerphone is comes in a lot clearer than others. The only thing I would ask from Sanyo is too make the sound volume a little higher like their older phones.

I don't seem to get very good reception on the phone, no matter where I am. Also, the speakerphone doesn't go loud enough, and cuts out often. With regard to the ease of use, I would like to be able to access people a bit simpler, especially when driving, which I do quite a bit of with my job.Other than that, the phone is nice, (I love pink), and I have gone 2-3 days without charging!I might need to cancel a phone and plan that I recently ordered. As such, is it possible to put the order on hold? Kindly advise. Thank you! Susan

I got the Katana in June and it sucked ,I didn't have service anywhere...and when you don't have service the LCD screen kept coming on and made my phone die.and I missed like all my calls cause the ring volume was so low.....so I just took the phone back to the store and got a Samsung sph-m300 red(sprint) and it works way better,I get really good signal
