My wife and I just recently left Sprint PCS for Verizon Wireless and Verizon is much nicer, because even though Sprint had great coverage and excellent reception, Sprints customer service has gone downhill since Sprint merged with Nextel and now I can see why Sprint is losing a lot of customers through Verizon. Otherwise, my wife and I would have stayed with Sprint if Sprint wouldn't have merged with Nextel along with the fact that Nextel has always sucked, because even though we were told Nextel would improve their coverage eventually when they merged with Sprint, it never happened. So anyone else who is with Sprint should consider switching to Verizon, because I think you'll more than likely be happier with Verizon, since Verizon is a better company.

Sprint is the best. Great reception. The free incoming plan is tops. I don't even need a home phone with this plan. Internet browsing is fast on the phone. Even dropped internet on the home PC. Receive a huge corporate discount from where I work. Internet radio is great. Cs has worked with me on every issue. Switching from Nextel was the best move I've ever made.

I have had three lines with sprint for about 5 years now. In the beginning the customer service was great but ever since the merger with Nextel it is total crap. Their rate plans have gone up alot as I am looking at getting new phones right now and certain parts of my account have to be upgraded. My account is grandfathered and they have tried in the past to say I had to change. At this point I will be going back to Verizon and considering Cingular, but I will not stay with sprint.

I've had Sprint for almost a year now. So far no dropped calls... EVDO is lightning fast. No complaints whatsoever.

I have been with Sprint for many years. They started off with some spotty service in South Florida, but that is no longer the case from my own experience. Pros: Soild service, no static, very few dropped calls. I have not been to a place where there was not Sprint service. Even in warehouse stores and stadiums. Great deals on plans and services. $10 and $15 PDA data access. Very large EV-DO coverage. Sprint is the only CDMA carrier to use Java. So you get to use free applications. Sprint also waved the less then 50% roaming. Now your roaming is counted as normal minutes. So peak minutes deduct from your bucket and night and weekends are unlimited. Cons: I would say Sprint has had some problems with customer support. They are getting better. E-mails to support come back within a few hours. And most reps are helpful and willing to give credits for mistakes. With any carrier you have to pick the right service for you. Just don't go by commercials, or claims of "leading independent research" or "Most dependable network". Read the fine print on those to see the loop holes that they can get away with. For me and the people I have talked into switching to Sprint, we are very happy. If you live in a weak spot for any carrier, you might want to try a repeater. This is just a few suggestions.

I have had Sprint PCS service for more than 5 years. I have always found their customer service to be great. Their coverage away from metro areas used to be spotty, but I think it is better now. It is strange, but the weakest reception is right inside my home. 50 feet outside the door and it is great again. I have an LG PM 225 cell phone and I really like it a lot. My only complaint with the cell phone is that when you charge it both the external and internal LCD screens are fully lit and stay that way as long as it is charging.

I've been with Sprint home long distance and wireless for 15+ years. Experienced the highs and lows. Sure they've had growing pains; they all have. Sprint's always gone the extra mile to make me happy. They know how competitive the industry is and they want to keep their customers. Stay with them and you'll get loyalty treatment, too.
They've grown tremendously and their coverage has far surpassed the competitors..especially with nights starting at 6pm, instead of having to wait until 9pm with the other guys.
Can't remember the last time I had a dropped call--I live in a rural area and travel rurally,, too.
I can't justify spending more money for fewer features.
Great plans, features and prices....now superior coverage.
Thanks Sprint

I have had sprint for about a year and I'm completely satisfied. Coverage is great along with clarity. Had all providers and Sprint is by far the best. Never had to use customer service for any reason. The $29.95 plan was best for me with weekends and nights starting at 7pm; absolutely satisfied.

Been surprisingly happy with my Sprint PCS service since I switched from Verizon. I only wanted a newer high-tech phone and agreed to just "try-out" the Sprint service for a week or so. The service was so clear and reliable that I paid the early termination fee to cancel Verizon and use Sprint exclusively. I don't experience dropped calls or static - EVER!!! Always a strong signal regardless of my location around town - and I never miss any calls. No one ever knows I am talking to them on a cell - it's that clear!!! I hope things stay this way!!!

Let me say that I have had sprint service for over 7 years now and I could not be happier.. They just opened up there entire network and other providers networks so that there are no longer roaming charges with there new plans. And I must say, there new plans are amazing.. They certainly offer a lot of great features and service options, and the coverage is incredible. I recently went on a 5000 mile road trip across most of the west half of the country and never experienced any dropped calls, and did enjoy the benefit of free roaming, and I laughed at my friend with his t mobile phone hardly ever getting service. I hardly ever have to call customer support unless I need to change my plan and Ive never had trouble with this.
This is the company to have cell service with, they are incredible.

Coverage: excellent I've tried Verizon, at&t & t-mobile. Sprint wins way better.
Call quality: sprint hands down winner, crystal clear with great reception.
Customer: as better than most, gave me free n&w at 6pm & pcs2pcs just for asking.
Cost benefit: unbeatable...25% off (national volume discount) discounts for most employers employees. Call and see if your company is listed.
I must say I'm quite happy overall, as with any carrier it has to do with where you live and who you talk too.

Data plan is dead slow , you cannot open a single page withing 2-5 minute even if it shows you full coverage with 3G. So any new users plase use Verizon or AT&T for the use of any data plan (sprint works fast only on wifi :) )

Do your research, Sprint has the lowest data speeds of any provider. Where I am I am lucky to load a simple web page while my friend sitting right next to me on Verizon is streaming video! Biggest waste of 4g and $10 for premium data..

by Gary Trayler -- June 10th 2012 -- Corpus Christi, TX
If you are using your phone for voice only it is fine with good coverage. If you use any of the internet cards or connection devices such as the "overdrive" it is the worse company of any. They advertise 4G but can even give you 3G. The connection of internet devices is so fragile it cant be used with any quality at all. Customer service is nothing but "we are working on antenna and it will get better". Who cares if it will be better in 2013? We were sold a product that does not work and you are locked in to a contract.

Sprint's coverage area is the worst of any carrier I've used... Verizon, T-Mobile and ATT. I am constantly losing signal or having difficulty retaining phone calls and data connections with my iPhone 4S (latest phone) and all the Droid phones my wife and 3 kids use. Verizon has the absolute best coverage. Verizon has REAL 4G... Sprint does not have technically real 4G speeds. You can research that interesting fact online.
The ONLY thing I like about Sprint is their EVERYTHING DATA plans with unlimited minutes. I am constantly streaming music, talk radio and other internet stations. I've tried videos and movies, but it's a bit of a pain to watch on a cell and really not worth my time. If I were on Verizon or ATT data plans, my bills would be $500 a month.

STAY AWAY!!!!! We have been with sprint for 10 years now and we are now switching phone companies. They have the worst customer service, they are changing all of their plans and charging more even being in a contract. If you have an issue you can't even get it resolved. It has been bad the last 2 years and they are just getting worse. We have a few insiders and they say get out while you can! JUST DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT.

I have been with Sprint forever. Never had a problem. This first time I had to call customer service. my service been down no data or make calls or receive. I was ignored by several managers and agents. I was told not enough people called in with issue to validate a trip to the tower. I get service in a 3 mile radius outside where I live. So phone is not the issue. This is not a huge Sprint base. So may not have a lot of the customers in this radius. I was also told the more you complain about not getting service the more they ignore you. This is by far the worse customer service I have ever dealt with with any company phone related or not. For now due to contract all I can do is write about my experience with them on every review site I can find, and hope buyer bewares....

I have been with sprint on two different occasions as for the break I went with a prepaid phone thinking I could save with their $50. A mo plan I did for a minute then realized when my phone broke I had to pay another $250. For another phone out of pocket...No insurance.. I went back to sprint.. They may have their flaws but again no one is perfect not even a phone company. Its like this... I was unhappy with a phone I got, I had it for a year or so, because of the frustration I was going to end my contract again regardless of how much I would spend for the disconnection fee. Then they upgraded my phone to a model that was hands down top notch HTC EVO which I absolutely Loved!!! Unfortunately two weeks ago it was Lost :( They replaced my phone with the HTC 3D and I still love the HTC EVO best phone ever!! But they replaced my lost phone for $100. Bucks being this phone is almost $600 bucks!!, to me thats not a big sacrifice at all, its not their fault it was lost. Then 2nd line was time for an upgrade... We picked the phone it was here fast! Yesterday... Note I ordered it this past Sunday... Now my daughters back pack was stolen at school unfortunately her phone was in it..
I thought I would have to pay another 100. Bucks because again not their fault... But when I place the order it will be $50 bucks for a $250. Phone ... I for one will be staying with sprint as long as I can!! All the awesomeness they have shown in such a small amount of time I'm happy :) If your considering sprint I would say GO FOR IT, because when it boils down to the nitty gritty.. Over all they are the best price and service hands down. Ive been with them 8 years now. Not always by contract but by choice!

Sprint has the best coverage in my long island ny area. Friends with Verizon complain of many dropped calls. Had been with tmobile for decades and move to Sprint was best phone decision and value. Customer service has been excellent. If you have a problem they take care of it right away. Sprint CEO could do a better job.

Absolutely my worst cell phone experience in my life. The coverage is horrible, the web access is slow and freezes often, my phone is horrible and the Customer Service is the worst. I feel more like I am waiting for parole than the end of my plan. I am seriously debating just paying the cancellation fee cutting my losses and going with anyone else besides Sprint. The Walmart prepaid phones would be an upgrade in comparison to what I have now. I can't wait til I get out from under this cell phone nightmare. Please Don't even consider signing on with Sprint. I promise you if you do you will regret it the rest of your life.

I have had Sprint since 1999. The reason I chose them was the security deposit--it was half of Verizon's at the time. I have stayed with Sprint, because I have always been satisfied with the voice service.
There were dead spots originally, but now I have service within 99% of where I go and this is all that matters to me. I talk to people on other providers and they are constantly dropping calls (Verizon included).
I have had little experience with data, as I own a basic phone, but I get voice mails and text messages within a reasonable amount of time.
As an FYI, my friend's Verizon flip phone died, and he is being channeled into a "smart" phone deal at over $100 per month. I understand Sprint is much less, but cannot verify.
Finally, customer service is very effective when you call them. I just upgraded to the M360, and the speaker died after one week; after a few phone calls, they replaced my phone and gave me a $50 credit on my bill.

If you are looking to change/start service with a different carrier, STAY AWAY FROM SPRINT. In a word, they are HORRIBLE.
I am a four (4) year customer of mobile broadband service. In that four years Sprint has been substandard -really pathetic - on every single issue. Here is a short summary.
I contracted for mobile broadband on a 2 year agreement. At the end of the 2 years my equipment stopped working. I took the card to my local Sprint office - who informed me that they could not repair it, they had no replacement for it - and, if I wanted to continue my service, I would have to buy a new card. I did so.
Fast-forward 1 1/2 years - I receive a billing statement in the mail with an amount 4 times my normal bill. I call Sprint customer service - and am informed that my unlimited plan had been changed to a capped usage plan - without signature or agreement - when I bought the new equipment.
The rep told me he would remove the charges and this would never happen again. 2 months later it did.
I virtually never use my broadband account. I have DSL at work - and use this, instead. I remove the card from the computer when I am not using it - and no one else uses my card. Yet, somehow, I exceed the "generous" cap that Sprint provides.
I terminated service. Sprint is charging me a $100 early termination fee. No contract - no agreement, yet a $100 termination fee.
Please do not make the same mistake I did. Stay FAR away from this company.

My $1500 mistake. In February I switched from AT&T and our iPhones. We were sick of all the extra charges and sky high bill associated with AT&T in general. I searched out all the different services here in Oklahoma and in the end Sprint was the most impressive (I thought). We went into the store and asked the rep to suggest the best Android phone on the market. We are told the Epic 4g is everything we want and more. We were told “it comes with 4g and it will be a hotspot for your laptops when you need it”.
After about 3 weeks I started trying to call Sprint. I cannot stress enough how inadequate they are. Even though my 30 days wasn’t up every single rep reminded me that I would have to pay a $200 disconnect fee per line($400). Which would mean that I paid $800 for phones. A $297 first bill. And now, I am upset that we are NOT in a 4g area (all states surrounding us do..but they are not sure when we will get it, and btw Verizon already has 4g in Oklahoma), I am in roaming 80% of the time in the middle of Oklahoma City, the Hot Spot cost’s an additional $30 a line (though no one told me that until I tried to use it). I can’t send or receive messages a lot of the time in roaming nor do my calls come in.(One being that my son had hurt himself at school. Took over 4 hours to even get the VM due to being roaming or just serviceless). So basically, go to Verizon. Don’t make the same mistakes I have. I am stuck now, or i have to pay them a total of over $1500 to cancel in less than a month and a week after service start. (they sure did make sure to keep me waiting for stupid fixes till after my 30 days.)

not a good phone, messages are delivered too late, most of the time you have to switch off the phone to send the message. during messages it locks. too many error messages. sprint reprogrammed many times and even swapped with the same refurbished but same situation. sprint customer service is not taking care of this situation. i am disappointed with sprint customer service from the very beginning. At the time of signing they told me that my bill of "family plan" will be $129.00. but after 2 months they removed discount without telling me. now their service is bad. I should talk to BBB and write to media as well.

Some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I signed up with Sprint over a year ago and I have been really impressed with the service, particularly with their calling network.
Sprint advertises the only 4G network and I have to say that with the right Smart Phone, the speed and graphics are really amazing. Their $69 everything unlimited plan saves me from my overage fees as well as nearly $40 a month more I had to pay to keep an iPhone with AT&T.
Their phone promotions are great and the general selection is better than I have encounter – I really love the abundance of smartphones at reasonable prices.
The best thing is honestly their calling network –I have great reception anywhere I go and in Miami that’s something. But I know that having this plan and a great phone, in this day and age, is lucky.
But there is an option being offered by Boost’s sister company, Virgin Mobile via Sprint, that has real potential to help a lot of people and should be getting more coverage.
Their “Assurance Wireless” program is being in offered in five states and exclusively to low income, qualifying families and its an amazing deal. Qualifiers can get both a phone and 200 minutes, with no fees or contract, for free with the potential to expand their program at. 10 a minute. While the program is new, I can only hope it will expand to more states and people who could also use a plan like this.
I might not be low-income, but the savings would totally help me. While free is a bit much to ask of already loyal customers, maybe Sprint and its parents companies could offer something like this for $10 for everyone – new and old customers alike. Times are tough and having a cell phone is a must so click here for Sprint president’s email address: http://assurancewireless.webs.com and let him know that everyone could use these savings.

Sprint was our second carrier and I knew was a very good choice at the fact when one of my siblings on our family plan accidentally tried to send a Multimedia Message the were warned that it would connect to the internet prior the the message sending unlike AT&T. The only problem with Sprint was when we went to Williamsburg I would always be roaming and could never get a reception which on Verizon we could. Overall Sprint is a nice service for a budget and your region if you have coverage.

I absolutely loved Sprint. Ive been a customer for the past 4 years and I've never had problems. I was recently paying about $85 for a smartphones, compared to Verizon my brother was paying $110 for the same quality phone. I think Verizon's $30 data charge is ridiculous. I have great service with sprint wherever I go. I never have to worry about dropped calls. Their internet speeds aren't that great, but its rather good. Their phones are really nice and I would recommend Sprint all the way! The cheapest plans with amazing coverage.

Best coverage, the newest phones, and great customer support (sometimes). If you ever have a problem ask to speak to their manager. If your problem is still not solved. Call back and speak to a different rep. If it turns into turmoil yet again, then tell them your considering to terminate your contract and demand to speak with the retentions department. This always fixes any issues I have.

In December 2007, somebody from Sprint accidentally canceled my service. When I called to find out what was going on, they had already given out my number to another customer. To make a very long, frustrating story short, I fought for a month to get my number back and they couldn't give it to me. They issued me a new phone number and gave me 15% off my monthly bills. That wasn't close to being enough to compensate for my heartache, time, and anger. Not to mention that I own my own business and my number that they had given away was on all my business cards. To add to the mess, nobody seemed willing or able to help me. This just verified their horrible customer service to me. Don't ever expect a call back from someone at Sprint who tells you they will. They are a nightmare.

After many dropped calls with Sprint/Nextel Plans and the failure to provide customer service after many attempts, I am looking forward to the day that I can cancel my contract. I understand why so many people are frustrated with the customer service problems. I have never experienced so many problems with repeated calls to fix the same problems from billing, to website problems, and dropped calls.

My 10 year anniversary with Sprint is this month and I have been very pleased with my cell service, my direct connect, my plan, and with customer service. I have a hard time understanding why they are so low on the customer rating. It is my business and personal phone so it is used extensively and I really take advantage of the free incoming. I've only had 4 phones over the course of 10 years and they've always worked well. I am a "high maintenance consumer" of just about everything. If the quality isn't there, I make sure somebody hears about it or something is done. My husband has Verizon for business/personal and is always bugging me to join him on a family plan, but I'm not giving up my free incoming. He seems to have no more and no less issues with his phone than me. So I'm not sure what the deal is here, but to all those satisfied Sprint subscribers who are out there phone in and give some positive feedback.

I love Sprint service. I got rid of my home phone and am strictly cell just because of this cell company. I am on the simply everything plan, and I don't ever have to worry about any overages, roaming, or anything. I haven't had a problem with any dropped calls, problems with the phone, or anything else. I had Sprint about 6 years ago and hated it, so I was a little hesitant to give it another try. I was so pleased to see the service and call quality had improved tremendously since the last time I was a subscriber. I tell everyone that Sprint is where it is at with absolutely no worries.

Customer service has been great, they even have a live chat using the internet that helps you get your questions answered right away.

Sprint customer services is improving. I've been a customer since 1998 and have had my share of problems. I want to give them some credit though because the last few times I've called, they have made a point of addressing my issues in one call and they have been successful. Overall, Sprint offers the best value out there. Coverage has never been a problem for me and I travel a lot. With the plan I have now, "Talk/Message/Data 3000 Share," roaming is included, so I can get coverage in the sticks at no extra charge.

Well, now thanks to the incredibly dismal and sometimes outrageously bad customer service from Sprint, AOL has lost it's first place position in the bad customer service contest in my opinion. It took me seventeen phone calls over a period of three months with ten disconnections by Sprint to get one of many problems solved with Sprint. This month, my two year contract is up. I want to call and cancel but am afraid of what may happen on their end as far as possible erroneous charges or perhaps even a mistaken contract renewal that I will wind up spending 200 dollars to get out of. Go with Verizon in the Western Washington region.

All I can say about Sprint is that coverage is good, but the customer service is horrible. It was the biggest mistake of my life. I will never suggest it to anybody. I had AT&T for over 5 years. It has the best service with no problems. They even told me that if I want to get the data card I should go with AT&T or Verizon because they have the better service. I will suggest to anybody and everybody that never ever do a contract with Sprint unless you have everything in writing. Never take their word because they change them all the time.

My first month with Sprint Service was good. The following months are where it went from bad to worse. I have been a customer for over 5 yrs and had several cell phones with Sprint. I have always experienced the same horrible quality of service and coverage.

Sprint PCS Plans have the worst customer service ever. I cannot believe I put up with it for over 7 years. They are even trying to charge me an early termination fee when my contract was up. Service coverage was so-so in my new home, which is what made me finally switch.

Sprint service works great for me pretty much everywhere. They have great coverage in most cities, the price is much better than Verizon's, and if you can get the best deal, you do not worry about them. The only reason you would want to go with Verizon is if you are worried about always having the best coverage and you do not mind paying for it. Otherwise, all the other major companies are the same in coverage. However, their customer service has got to be the worst. Actually Virgin Mobile has the worst, but Sprint is up there. You have to call in multiple times to get things done. But, if things work, then you are fine. Just expect to spend a few hours fixing a problem if one comes up.

I have had ongoing problems with my Palm Centro and the customer service at Sprint. The problems I encountered with the phone were: It was freezing up on a regular basis and not allowing me to make calls, the web browser would freeze up and the only way to use the phone again was to remove the battery and restart it, and the back light under the keyboard went out making it hard to use the phone in low light areas. I would not recommend the Palm Centro through Sprint. It's a shame, because the network coverage and speed are pretty good.

I've had single plan Sprint for a decade with no problems until I recently moved up to a family plan. It took a month to get the new lines activated, four months to straighten out the bill. Seems they didn't put all my lines on the same account and actually had them in different computer systems. I was billed separately for each phone at the family rate and had to have the bill corrected each month. Since the servers were not the same, the credit did not register correctly and they started collection on me for money I didn't owe. My number was registered in New York so all calls were charged a local surcharge (I live outside of Chicago). Changing the number brought the $250 cancellation charge even though it was sprint's mistake. Long story short, it took 47 phone calls, 10 letters, various emails, and over $2500 in credits to get the problem fixed. Customer service for this company has hit an all time low and I regret adding the lines. I will run from sprint when the contract expires!

I have had a great experience with Sprint until this year. They increased their text message rates from 10 to 15 then to 20 cents per text. Isn't this a breach of contract. I was also signed up for the Vision plan for no apparent reason. That is another 15 dollars added to my bill for something that I do not use. I have not been reimbursed the full amount but I am still fighting. I will be searching for a new service provider once my contract expires or I am let out of this one. A dishonest company will not have my business.

Sprint has horrible customer service, they charge on things that I don't even ask for plus they also switch my rate plans without my permission. As for the phone it freezes all the time and I finally switched over to another carrier. I've been super happy with this other carrier and I wish I would of done it long time ago.

I have been a sprint customer for over 6 years, but lately their customer service has been horrible. No wonder they are losing customers like mad. A friend started sending me text messages last month. I used to have unlimited texting for years, but canceled it a while back when I wasn't using it anymore. It was part of the picture package that stopped working properly for me. Most times I would try sending a picture it would fail, and I got tired of dealing with their customer service trying to get it fixed so I just canceled it. Anyway my friend started sending me text messages, so before it got out of hand I tried looking up what they were costing me on their website. While the number of messages used was listed, it gave no cost. NO WHERE on their site could I find a per message charge listed. I opened my bill this morning to find a $170 text messaging charge. I was floored. If unlimited was $15, I figured this was going to cost me 2-3 times that much, NOT MORE THEN 11 TIMES!! I called customer service at 8:00 am on a Sunday to spend more then 20 minutes on hold, only to finally be connected to a foreign operator who's English was unintelligible, and her concern for me non-existent. She refused to do anything about this charge. If the price was known to me before hand I would have to except this, but I made a valiant effort to find that charge, and it was not on their website or my previous bill. I switched to T-mobile today. I hope the reviews for their customer service is as good as I've read and stays that way for a long time. I also hope the stories I've heard of sprint losing customers like mad lately is true, and they are not around much longer.

I've been a customer of Sprint since 1999. And I'm am so disappointed that I have switch carriers now. The customer service is the worst. I was simply trying to renew my plan with 5 lines since Dec 07 and I've had one problem after another. They added bonus mins to 2 of the lines and said because of the bonus mins their plans were renewed for 2 additonal yrs. Which is absurd. I've had the explain the story over and over again with no notes being made to my account. And when I said I want to cancel my contract, I was conveniently disconnected. Called back and was on hold for close to 45mins. Sprint was great because all of my family member had Sprint, so the in calling came in handy. Now I'm convincing all of my family members and friends to make the switch. They really need to work on their customer service for they will soon be out of business.

I've been with Sprint PCS for about 5-6 years. I used them because they were the first to support my home town and the major cities where I usually worked. From the outset, I've had repeated problems with getting a signal. Once it has a signal, from my viewpoint, the reception is excellent. Bear in mind, that I use a rather simple phone, as my needs are just voice communication. Of late, the signal issue seems to have increased. Calls to customer service provide polite responses, but only lame excuses and no solutions. When I stop in at a Sprint store, the staff seem only barely able to drum up enough interest to hear my problems. Of course, if I were to buy an new and expensive phone, or new service... I have become very annoyed that I am in extra-cost roaming or no signal at all in the lobby of a building while people around my are chatting away on their own (and I suspect non-Sprint) cell phones. When I walk outside, the service is fine again. Why am I affected and not others? Hmmm. Add to that the fact that I've lost coverage traveling along Interstate routes out west. At least they could provide coverage along our major highways! We had cell phone connection in midst of the vast Serengeti - what's wrong with Sprint? All said and done, my contract has ended, and I'm off to try out their competitors. Sprint will not be on my list.

I used the Treo 755 for 30 days to replace my t-650, which always had poor quality. Although, the t-755 offered a new design feel and updated software and added programs, it offered no worthy reason to upgrade to it. The speaker volume was as poor as the t-650 as well as call quality and coverage. Both phones were used on the east and west coast. The palm software was nice and easy to use except when it crashed and needed to be powered off to reset it, a task performed several times daily all at the worst of moments. In short, the palm version of the Treo has performed so poor that I have returned to my pre-PDA phone and have not had one problem. Sprint would never acknowledge the phones poor quality in coverage or call service. For that, sprint is a poor provider that may not be better the the rest but should be skipped over all the same. Hope this helps in finding your future cell.

5 month with Sprint. Bad coverage inside house. Phone heats like an iron, while charged when there is minimal signal. No customer service - wait 1 hour, then the rep may disconnect accidentally. No call back. Can only reach them through local Sprint store or when you calling sales. I would recommend to stay away from Sprint, unless you are living in the area where they have good coverage. I am just wondering where that maybe, it is not in San Francisco Bay Area.

I've been with Sprint PCS since Dec 1996 since the first day they launched in North America. Since that time, their quality of service (customer, phone quality) has diminished. Since that time, they've upped their prices and fixed it to match their competitors. Over time, they have provided even less to the customers per dollar. I'm speaking of 1996 and 97 prices. Their marketing department has played a major part in making customers believe they're getting more for what they paid for. They have gone back on their written promise on my contract and depending upon who you speak to have a different understanding of the services they are to provide as far as phone warranty issues. The last time I had to get my phone in for service, they took 6 weeks to get it back to me without a replacement. My contract specifies that my phone is to be replaced promptly. Because I am a pioneer member, I have a low monthly charge so I stick with Sprint but they are no better than any other services.

Of all of the cell carriers I have used for the past 20 years, Sprint is by far the worst. The coverage is spotty and the customer service is terrible. I called Sprint in November to inquire about the date my son's phone contract was up and was informed that he was month to month and could cancel without penalty at any time. I opened my next bill and found a $150.00 cancellation fee on it. When I called Sprint back, they claimed that there was nothing on their screen to note this and they would not waive the fee. How is that my problem? The further infuriate me they now say that his 2 year contract was up a week later and had he waited a week there would have been no fee. If you want lousy service and prefer to deal with lying customer service people then Sprint is the one for you.

Free roaming, not free!! Dropped calls allover!! Warranty no good!!customer service is good for first few persons.. Then transferred the call to where you down!! They cant hear and hang up!! Faster to drive 50 miles and much more fun!!! To call customer service in store on speaker phone and get 8 or 15 people to stand and hear and see $500.00 bill for $60.00 phone and screen in store to let all customers know what lyres, thieves they are!!! And show outrageous bills, then get hung up on, in front of 15 to 20 new customers. On as cops are on the way but never show.. Found out they are called alot!! Then do same at next sprint store.as customers walk out seeing cant dispute bill in the U>S>A> supervisor on vacation till 1st of year. Please leave message will do this twice a week till they let me out, with out $300 fee not authorized ,over on minutes each month talking with sprint, charged for text they sent me.. Had to call each day now just go to store.so all can see true sprint colors. Was fine for 3 years, till time to get free phone, in Fremont they had none showed them was being charged roaming well they fixed me $069 per min $575.00 that month then about $200.00 each month after I ask to see who I talked to sent same bill 6 times..no call detail just same bill 6 times just want out, cant take lies, any more will be calling from a different store, screaming what thieves sprint is.. Seems most people already know and wish me luck sprint stinks lies steeling my money! Dropped calls allover! Way way over charged then say very sorry!! They certainly are a sorry phone company. And they know it..SEE YOU TOMORROW you very sorry anything else I can help?

Sprint has acceptable coverage and excellent call quality. I will not renew thier service The plans all include free roaming, yet phone tells you that call will be roaming, and must make an extra key stroke to confirm you want to make the call. I suppose to discourage use off their network. They have increased their text message rates twice since I started my plan, not at $.20 per text incoming or outgoing. A good way for extra profit. This is a sore point with customer service. When you ask how they can change your contract rates, they tell you they will look it up, then when rep comes back on the line, they tell you it was in the fine print of a bill several months ago. Then they tell you go ahead and cancel. We will charge you $200.

I have been a Sprint customer since purchasing my first cell phone almost ten years ago. When I first had my phone, I encouraged all of my friends to join Sprint. However, since Sprint and Nextel have merged, I have had nothing but headaches. The service is terrible. I regularly get voice mail notifications of calls that never came through. Their website NEVER works, which makes on line bill paying a nightmare. The final straw for me was the customer service I received most recently. I was put on hold for 20 minutes, hung up on, cut off in the middle of my sentence at one point, and had to deal with an obnoxious and rude supervisor. I will be switching to Verizon as soon as my contract expires. I advise everyone to do the same.

I have been with Sprint for 4 years, and have had it with their service, both on the billing end and actual coverage end. We roam at our house, and calls are dropped constantly everywhere else. Have been waiting to be out of contract and just found out ours was "renewed" in June. Huh, wonder who did that, wasn't me. Of course it's my word against them, so I'm out of luck. Verizon just came to town, I'm paying the grand to move my five lines and get out of cell phone hell. Please learn from my mistake, don't cost yourself an early termination fee. Go anywhere else but Sprint/Nextel.

Sprint PCS is a hassle and a total ripoff. If you ever need to call customer service for any reason, don't expect them to know how to help you, let alone answer your call in less than 20minutes. They have the worst reception!! Each time I attempted to call my voicemail, I had to hold for about five minutes because they had found "recent updates" that needed to be installed. There was no way to avoid this. It wasted my time and I was charged for the minutes. When you ask to speak to a manager (because the last three times you called, noone was able to help you), they just transfer you to any other representative who has no clue you intended to speak to someone in charge. When you finally do reach someone that can possibly help you, there suddenly is no record of any other problems you've complained about in the past, or promises that have been made to you. RECORD EVERYTHING!!! Get reference numbers for every transaction, names and ID numbers from every person you talk to. Otherwise it is like you never called! Better yet, DO NOT SIGN UP WITH SPRINT! I was lucky to get out...

I have been with Nextel/Sprint since 2002. The reason we are with Sprint now is they offered a switch over to Sprint from Nextel and my wife hated the nextel phone, the coverage was bad too. Sprint started out ok, but ever since I have had them, I couldn't get calls at the fire station, but I figured that was the building. I have never received a lot of calls at home, but about 6 months ago I started a part time job doing more work at home and then I started noticing terrible service at home. I started to call the CS and got treated ok until I asked if they would let me drop out since they could not give me coverage at home. Their tech called me and said yes I don't have coverage at home and yes I was correct that it wasn't getting better and they had no plans to improve coverage at my area. I called back and asked to be allowed to drop Sprint to get a service that can cover me at home....They wouldn't let me go and started asking me questions like, why are you just now calling and reporting this, why did you switch from Nextel....and other questions. I told them, forget it, I was leaving as soon as I could and that is next week. Do not know where I am going, but please do not use Sprint, they are not what they claim and are not customer friendly, they do not keep their word.

I have been a Nextel customer for about 5-6 years and ever since they merged with Sprint, it has went down hill. I found myself not using the 2way from Nextel. So I decided to switch to Sprint and give them a try. I have had nothing but problem after problem. I ordered the phones over the phone. They sent me the wrong color. So I used the one they gave me until my new one came in the mail. After about 3 weeks, they kept telling me that it was sent in the mail. It never came. So I had to call yet AGAIN and come to find out, of course...It was never sent. So they finally sent me the one I ordered. I have had so many little things go on on my bill. To call them is a horrible experience and I don't wish this upon anyone. The people they hire to answer the calls, they speak English but it is still VERY hard to understand what they say. If a representative tells you something you don't agree with, hang up and call again because each time you call you get a different answer! I don't try to be "that" annoying customer on the phone, but come on! I had one question about my bill, and they transferred me to about 3 people to find out if my one time charge of my equipment included 2 or 3 phones. Is that so encrypted in my account that they need to transfer me to different people? Sorry for ranting and raving. But as on hold with this company... Im weighing the choice of just canceling my account with them after I have only been with them just over the 30 day mark... The CSR tries to get me to "extend" my contract... Are you kiddding me?

I am in cell phone hell and I want out. Sprint Customer Service is the worst. I have been a customer for over 10 years. I can not wait to change service. I have been waiting for our plans to run out for 2 years, so I could switch, and although 2 out of 3 of our plans should be eligible to move on, I have been told that that is not the case. They renewed my service several times without notifying me. I have been repeatedly lied to, have been put on hold many times for over an hour, I have had to repeat my problem each time I call as if they had never spoken to me. I have been told that their technical department will follow up with me on a problem and then never hear back. When I needed to take advantage of the replacement plan last year, the phone I was sent did not meet my needs. Most importantly I could not read the keys or the screen without my reading glasses. This was not a problem with my original phone, they did not feel that this was in issue the required them to send me a more suitable phone. Since my plan was about to expire I decided to wait to just pick out a new phone at that time. When the time came, I was told that I was not eligible for the discount because my contract was renewed when I got the replacement phone. My phone was turned off twice a week for a month while we tried to solve a problem with my bill even though each time I call back they promised that they would stop turning off my phone until the problem was resolved.

Besides all the times that I have been hung up on by Sprint, the times that I do get through to someone they generally don't speak English very well and I have to repeat myself a thousand times and that is just to get to my account. They haven't been able to port my numbers over for a month. Every time I call to check on the status of the port, it is a minimum 30 minute call, they say that they will call me in a few days to let me know that it is complete. I have never recieved a call back. I have spent hours dealing with Sprint this first month and I haven't talk to a single honest person there yet. When I do talk to a manager, they don't even talk to you. They have some corporate line that they tell you without listening to you. I have had some pretty bad customer service in my time, but this has to take the cake. How can Sprint still be in business???

I dropped sprint like a bad habit. After trying to actually re up my commitment to them for another two years, they ended up canceling my order. I spoke with 2 very ignorant and idiotic "order verification" people then 2 very unsympathetic customer service people. No one had their facts straight and didn't care whatsoever that I was dissatisfied! Then they had the gall to charge me a $150 early termination fee...which was completely inappropriate. That only took 3 customer service supervisors and 2 letters to the CEO of sprint for them to finally back down. I'll never go back to sprint. Very happy with t-mobile!

Sprint has really been a disappointment, the coverage is so so, the call quality is actually pretty good, but the customer service is actually the worst I've seen in any type business ( not just cell phones), they kept charging for service accessories i did not request or even used, and when i pointed it out to them they would remove it for one month and put it back and say i requested it this went on for a year and a half, and they would only remove the charges on the most recent bill( i had to pay for the other 2 or 3 months) and get this when they finally noticed i was checking my bill they renewed my contract because they said i changed my plan. LOL .THEY ARE THE ABSOLUTE WORST>

I've been a sprint customer for almost 4 years now. Recently I place an order for a new line/phone. Ordering online was free shipping and free activation but I waited for days and saw nothing. I went online to check the stats and it was cancelled. I called Sprint customer service line and was placed on hold forever. I called back, reached a sprint representative to see what happen with my order, they transfer me to 8 different people this happens over and over again.(((when i reach them they tell me to hold while they check the problem, but they never come back and i end up getting disconnected))) Through out my four year reign with them luckily I didn't have billing or phone problems. Now I finally understand what my friends are going through. My take on them is if you want great customer service Verizon, AT&T, and maybe T-mobile( I was with them when they were called "Voice Stream" at that time they were terrible but i heard that T-mobile is got better now) Verizon and AT&T were good to me they took care of me and never put me on hold for so long. I'm only with Sprint because I like their free incoming Min's but I am looking forward to go back to Verizon as soon as one of my contract ends. I hope this helps...

Everything was fine, until I made my deposit. I called let’s talk; I had to request a conference call w/ sprint to pay the deposit. Then I was told the phone should be active in a couple of hours, and to call back then. Called back, this rep then made me aware that the order was processing improperly. The rep said they "fixed" the problem and give another 2 hours. I called sprint to verify deposit was posted and account was valid. Sprint verified everything was ready in their systems and they were just waiting on a device to be active. Called let’s talk back after 2 hours, the rep said the system still hasn't verified deposit w/ sprint's systems. Called sprint to see if anything would keep the order on hold of delay, same info given... Everything shows ready. Called let’s talk back, this time I was told the order was waiting for a credit check. I explained to them I already had a credit check and paid the deposit. Rep kept me on hold over an hour, came back to tell me the deposit isn't shown in their systems. Rep told me to call the bank w/the authorization code and tell them to pay that deposit. Being that I am the banks call center rep, there was no need. I explained we (the bank) have already authorized the charge and it's paid. Not to mention, the bank provides the auth code, so in order for the merchant to have it and provide it the bank already paid it! I held again, and she came back and told me the deposit needs to be credited back to the card and paid directly through let’s talk. That would take too much time, especially since I requested 1 day shipping that cost extra. Called sprint for other options, they offered me a much better deal and even gave kudos to the great sprint rep that assisted me. Last call was just to request a refund of shipping charges. Being a call center rep I have learned a lot from this experience, and how it feels to be on the other side of the problem.

I love sprint!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The phone selection is perfect and not as confusing as other wireless carriers who offer too many phones and options!!!! Sprint plans are just perfect and simple. I rate the customer service a five, because when I first switched to sprint from t-mobile they were so nice.....now they have these dingy women working who I really do not think are trained or are just temp.s'.......I hope!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I went to get approval for a second line of service which is impossible with sprint and Verizon, (not t-mobile.....which, I do miss about t-mobile and Cingular!!!! They actually put me on hold for over an hour......was I sitting there on the phone??? Heck no.....they were on speaker......they were just messing with my mind, because I told them if they did not allow?: me to buy a second line then I would just switch to Verizon........and after reading the reviews, I understand!!!other than that infantile behavior, I still love sprint!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really love some of the male employees!!!!!!!!! They know what they are talking about!

Sprint phones are less than up to par but serviceable. The phones themselves cost a fortune and even for someone like me that has been a customer for 6 years signing a new contract is the only way to get a new phone without offering up a limb. The worst of all is sprint's customer service. If you call after 5pm ks time you get a person in India who is under trained and has no ability to solve your problem. If you take the time to go to a store, you get put into a line and wait. It usually takes a minimum of 30 minutes to get any help at all and then they tell you you need a new phone. Of course you have to sign a new contract in order to get a minimal discount on a phone. If you choose not to sign a new plan you might as well have told the rep to kiss your a** because that is how they react. I hate having sprint service but when I first got my phone this had the best coverage and each year, I shop again. Eventually, I hope to find a company with the coverage and plan I need.

I am very dissatisfied with sprint/Nextel. They gave away my cell # to someone else and I had to be on the phone with customer service for 5 days, before I finally got it back! Sprint and Nextel are not communicating and merging their information together and I had to suffer for it. I live in a very busy area and I am not satisfied with the cell reception and dropped calls. I have so much more to criticize, its ridiculous.

I am very disappointed with sprint. They have never shown concern for me as a customer and if I wasn't under contract I would not still be with them. I have 4 phones and two of them have broken within 2months of purchasing the phones. They are cheep and it takes 20 minutes to talk to them. I have had customer service ask me to call back after I have waited 20 minutes for customer service because she did not feel like I did enough research before I called customer service. I am not supposed to do the research she is.

Sprint's service has really gone downhill lately. I have been with them for 3 years. Within the last year, my phone (Treo 650) flips into roaming all the time. I drop calls constantly and voice quality is crap. My coworker has the same Treo 650 also and he is experiencing the exact same problems while at the office or at home. We've both updated our phones with the latest OS and updates, but the problems continue. Frankly, I think sprint is just not what it used to be. And, if Cingular has a 5 year contract on the iphone, even though the rest of my family has sprint, I'll probably be switching to Cingular.

I had sprint for 2 years and it was the worst cell phone plan I have ever had. The customer service was horrible, my phone would have full signal and I was unable to make calls. This was a frequent occurrence. I hate sprint. I thought it would have improved when they merged with Nextel but they didn't and they still haven't.

Sprint customer service is absolutely awful, they have messed my plan up at least 5 times in 3 months. The Representatives does not live up to what they say they are going to do to correct the problem, supposedly they are suppose to put everything in the computer however the Representatives don't, I was charged 190.00 for a telephone bill and in less then 2 weeks I now owed 490.00 all because the Representative that I spoke to did not correct my plan the way she was suppose to giving me 2100 min, she was suppose to give me 2400min. There customer service is rude and so are the managers and supervisors, I have been a customer with sprint for so long and for them to even treat me the way they did, sprint did not live up to the contract, they told me that I would receive these additional minutes if I signed for another two years and I never received the minutes at all so now I'm stuck with a 490.00 phone bill from this crappy company, my contract is not up until may of 09. I should have listened to people when they told me to not use there service, and on top of it the customer service automated phone systems keeps you on hold for at least an hour before anyone even picks up, it's ridiculous.

Sprint sucks! I have been a sprint customer for approx. 8 years. About 1 1/2 years ago my lg phone was stolen; and had to have it replaced Through their equipment protection program. It took almost an entire 7-10 days to get a replacement, which did not work, so then I had to get a 2ND replacement phone, took almost 3 weeks to get a phone! Finally got a replacement the Nokia, which worked fine. However now 1 1/2 years later, my Nokia flip phone broke. Sprint assured me last time I renewed my 2 year contract that if my phone broke it could either be fixed or replaced in their retail store! Well when Nokia broke when to a sprint retailer and was told it would take at least 4 business days to fix since they now subcontract out phone repairs. Drove to a another sprint retailer who used to fix & repair on spot; however was told they had stopped repairing phones on premises approx 6 months earlier. Asked if I could just get the cheapest phone in stock rather than go through replacement. Was told I was 2 weeks away from being eligible for a free/new phone. They would not waive the 2 week time period. Must go through replacement/insurance process. Called asurian sprints insurance company, paid the $50 was told a Nokia would take 10 business days to receive as they were out of stock! Explained that I could not wait 2-3 weeks for a phone, so the nice lady told me she could send out a lg phone immediately which I said fine and gave them cc# for $50 charge; also extra $15 too ship phone 1-2 day express shipping. Was told I'd have phone by Tue. Well Tue night after not receiving phone by ups called assurian to find out why I do not yet have a phone? Rep says "I cant see that it was shipped"??? I said well give me the tracking # he says "on express shipments we don't get tracking #s immediately" I asked him well you ship with ups right??? He says yes! My response was well give me the tracking #! He says I don't see a tracking #. Here it is wed and still I do not have a phone, but also my phone was never shipped on Friday as they said it would be! Now I am off to find another carrier.

I have been tremendously disappointed with sprint as of late. I had issues with calls being dropped when I lived in my college apartment, which I thought was due to the old building in which I lived. My phone now drops calls at least three times a day in my new apartment, which is not an old crappy building. I have to make almost all of my phone calls outside, and there's nothing like being in the middle of an important call (phone interviews, conference calls, getting directions, etc) and having the phone either cut out, rendering every second syllable incomprehensible, or having the phone drop the call completely. It's infuriating. I'm getting rid of this. P.s. The sanyo phones are pretty good. I've dropped mine probably 100 times, and the only time it broke was when I dropped it down a flight of concrete stairs. Craftsmanship.

Sprint pcs has gone down the drain. I've had their service for over 10 years now and I'm fed up. In the last year or so, no matter what phone is used, calls are regularly dropped or there is lots of noise in the signal. Customer service has really fallen off too. Used to be you could call and get help over the phone from a friendly customer service member. This doesn't seem to be the case anymore. The representatives are rude, under trained and unwilling to help. The most help I go on my last call involved someone reading off a cue card and wouldn't say anything else. I asked to speak to the supervisor and she read off a different cue card refusing to even attempt to resolve my issue. I'd recommend staying away from sprint if you have a choice. I am now on the hunt for a new provider.

They only offer 75.00 off a new phone after the first year then 150.00 after the second year there horrible, that's nothing when you see the retail price of the phone. Everything is great at sprint until you have to actually call a service rep. First of all it's almost impossible to get a hold of a rep. However, if you are potential new customer, sprint will never put you on hold and do everything they can to sell you a plan. If you are an existing customer they could care less.

I can not wait till my time is up. I have been a customer for many years. Here is a list of the issues that I have had:1) degrading services over time / increasing cost over time. 2) billing for items previously included in the base rate while keeping the base rate the same. 3) horrid customer service. They tell you that they can not do that ... With a smile. 4) lies. I do not like my company to lie to me. 5) after years, I still roam in my own house. 6) refusal to work with issues. 7) billing hassles / extra fees

I have been with sprint since 1999. Never downloaded ring tones or games. Last year my cellphone was stolen. I thought I had left it at my office. I waited two days and someone downloaded $400 in ring tones and games. I called a thousand times to cancel this stuff. I had to pay the bill in full. For the next three or four months my bill had extra charges for things I didn't download or calls I didn't make. Then charges for internet connexions I didn't do. All of this were calls and long hours talking to representatives. Yesterday I received a letter from sprint saying that my wireless service would be disconnected on July 30 because I have been calling too much.

I had Nextel and change to the family plan with sprint. I can not wait until the contract period is complete. I will not sign with either company. I am considering paying out, just to get out of this service. Sprint charges for use of Nextel towers, and vice versa. Customer service has been of no help. Dropped calls all of the time. Sprint needs to go back to the drawing board on it's service and air space. Disappointed! Would never recommend either company (Nextel/sprint)

I was a Nextel customer, and changed to Sprint. They are a complete disaster. The phone service is fine, but customer service is just trash. After getting my phone, I started receiving other phone bills for other phones that had my address attached to theirs. These were accounts from all over the country, and they were given my address. Sprint refused to believe me when I told them this, so I had to email them scanned copies for proof. That didn't fix the problem, so I had to call the numbers of the bills I was getting to let those phone users know that sprint was sending their bills to my address. There is still one account being sent to my address, even after a year!! I pay my bills online, and sprint decided to take that information and set up an automatic withdrawal payment without my authorization. I ended up with a duplicated payment. I'm now trying to make sure they don't use my info to pay any of the bills they put my address on. Their "customer service" is nothing more than flunkies trying to up sell, and I'm still waiting for someone to fix my problems. I'm going to dump sprint, and try to get the FCC to look into their business practices. I will never recommend these jerks to anyone; the prices are competitive, but not worth the hassle.

Overall, sprint's data plans are good and coverage is good as well. Where sprint fails miserably is its customer service. I am on my third Treo since December (I don't blame sprint for this) and were it not for the fact that I purchased the phone at IMO, I would have long ago left sprint. The few times I visited the sprint store for phone problem diagnostics...let's just say that their ads do not reflect reality when it comes to customer service. I was with Verizon for about 10 years before switching to sprint and Verizon's customer service beats sprint's hands down. Not even close. Sprint customer reps take a black and white approach to service and also act is if they could care less if you are remotely satisfied. I was at the sprint store last week with my latest Treo problem (stay away from the 700wx) and I could not believe the number of ticked-off people at the store. I mean folks were actually cussing out the sprint employees...and frankly, they deserved it. Unless you are a business user and need data services, stay away from sprint (you'll save a lot on aspirin).

We were told that Sprint PCS had excellent coverage. What a laugh. Sprint works sometimes, and even calling 911 is a 50/50 chance of not getting through. Service is poor and they refuse to exchange a phone that has had one problem after another. We miss calls, can not get service, and it will not roam to a tower if you are standing next to it. Quality of the call is poor and don't even bother calling customer service. They treat you like the village idiot and never fix the problem. Never use the Sprint system if you want reliable service, calls and customer satisfaction.

I hate Sprint. From late text messages, late voicemails, dropped calls, poor customer service and overcharges. I had to check my bill, line by line, every month for bs charges. And sure enough, I would find them, every month. I asked many Sprint reps why I always get late texts or why my texts just wont send certain days. They always say that they have never heard of that problem and try to get me to buy a new phone. The reason I bought THIS phone is because they told me it would fix the texting issues. I soon realized that it is not a phone issue but a Sprint service sucks issue. EVERY person that has Sprint that I have talked to has mentioned and complained about the texting problem, so I just found it extremely odd that Sprint claims to have no knowledge of it....

I have had sprint for the last 5 years. I have never had any problems with coverage or call quality. This is extremely important because I live in an area that was impacted by recent hurricanes--sprint was one of the only carriers to have continuous service in all the different evacuation routes. Obviously this is a time when I needed sprint and they pulled through where other carriers fell short with their coverage. Customer service has always been pleasant and done what they could to help me--I recently had some problems with the Sanya 2300 not holding a charge and was outside my 1 year warranty by a couple of months--I also was looking to upgrade--sprint cs waived the full price of the new moto q and let me have 2 for the "new customer" price without one "this isn't fair" coming out of my mouth!! I do have to admit they have said "you will see that credit on your next bill" a couple of times and I still had to call back but when I called back it was no problem what so ever!!! I do wish they offered more bundle packages with their optional features to save their customers some money but overall--after doing extensive research--they do have the lowest plans with the best included features ever!!!

If a problem occures, it takes hours on the phone with ther customer sevice to get any answers, or to even attempt to fix the proble. They they always say that you will have to weight for the next bill to fix it, but you will have to pay for the overages, new charges, right at that time.

Sprint is absolutely horrible. I have dropped calls everywhere, in the past five months they have overcharged me by $240.00, customer service is rude and condescending if I can manage to get a hold of them, I've canceled my power vision upgrade 3 times now and it is STILL showing up on my invoices. Maybe it's just Northern Arizona that has these problems because everyone I talk to in the area agrees but people on the Internet don't. If you plan on signing on with Sprint don't accept any "free" upgrades because they WILL charge you for them and watch your invoice closely. I just paid the penalty to get out of my contract. I figure it will be cheaper than having them swindle me for the next year.

I switched to Sprint from Verizon and I haven't been happier. Sprint offers plans with more flexibility and I took advantage of my free nights at 7:00 and the Fair and Flex plans whenever I went over. So while some of my friends were freaking out because I called them on their cell, I could relax and call them where they needed. They were tied to their minutes, I definitely had freedom. The sound quality on my phone was that of landline. I'd sometimes use my cell over my home phone, while in the house, because of the features and ease of use. Their voice activated dialing is wonderful to have. Their internet is faster. Their customer service leaves something to be desired, but fortunately, I did not have to call for service much.

The cancellation notice was ignored and now 7 months later and 7 letters later, Sprint is billing me for $173 of long distance after the cancellation date. The customer service department of Sprint is a waaaay bad situation. Do yourself a favor and pick ONLY American customer service companies.

I'm so disgusted with Sprint I could spit. I tried to phone for 2 weeks, couldn't get service in my living room so I cancelled. They billed me $140. They said I only had Vision pac on one line and not the other two which was supposed to be free for the first 30 days. $90 worth of data charges they refused to take off my bill. I went in today just for grins to recreate what I did when I originally signed on. Had a live chat person pop up. Once I signed up and got to the check out point and asked their rep if Vision Pac was free on all three lines and they said yes it was. If their own people don't know how it works, how do they expect someone signing up online to know any differently.

I had to call in each month to fix the charges wasting over 1 hour each time I called. For a grueling seven months I had to deal with this and finally I had to go to the attorney general to get them to waive the cancellation fee! This is ridiculous. If you don't believe me, try sprint out and you will feel the same way I do right now about sprint. They are a rip off and will always be. Customer service is horrible and rude. The call quality is terrible and the plans are far more expensive than others! Do not sign up with Sprint- you will regret it! I changed providers and it was the best decision I could have made! I was a Sprint customer for three years and just finally had enough of them- so I paid the high early termination fees and got rid of them! If you had asked me a year ago what I thought of Sprint, I would have told you I though they were great. Not so any more. In the past six months the coverage has been terrible. My signal is down more than up, my calls are consistently dropped, and I have not gotten a correct bill in 6 months. At first I thought...well, give them some time...this merger is gong to cause a few quirks in the system. The quirks have turned into major nightmares. I have the $69.95 family plan...my bill is consistently $150.00+ a mnth. I don't even use all my minutes. I had services dropped (vision) and got billed internet charges of over $1000.00. I had blocked services on my daughters phone added--she wasn't supposed to get text messaging. All of a sudden she started receiving text messages and we could not stop them...my bill for that was over $500.00. Customer service is rude, they don't know what they are doing. Services that were supposed to be changed were not changed on both phones...rnIf I weren't tied down by a service contract I would find another provider. But I cannot afford to lose $500.

-Been a customer since Sep. 2004 and very satisfied. Great cutting edge technology and phones, love the freedom of having a nationwide plan and being able to use my phone ANYWHERE in the US without roaming charges. Occasional billing errors, but CS is not nearly as bad as some reviews might have you think, and I've never had a problem that wasn't promptly fixed. Coverage/reception is excellent almost everywhere, especially when you factor in roaming (which is included at no extra cost in nearly all of their current plans, and they use US Cellular as their main roaming partner here in South central Wisconsin, which is excellent) However, I wouldn't recommend Sprint to anyone in rural areas. You'll be roaming all of the time...Be aware that every plan change and phone upgrade requires you to sign another contract. I don't think I'll ever be in a position where my contract actually expires because I've already resigned 3 or 4 times in the last 2 years. This is fine with me for now because there is no other carrier that I would rather have.

Not surprisingly, they were the cheapest phones they sell! Then, since they refused to send us the right phone for the same price, we just asked them to cancel the deal and send us the empty return box. Instead, what we got was THREE MORE phones that we did not order with THREE NEW PHONE numbers in our billing. When we called, the customer service did not even apologize or tried to offer us something better. We are now searching for another cell company.

Sprint has gotten worse and worse. I've been a customer since 2000. Most recently I put my phone on vacation while I was abroad. When I came back, bought 2 phones, and somehow I ended up with a ONE THOUSAND dollar bill. I called customer service 4x a week for a month before the error was fixed. Text msging - and just any service in general is WAY over priced. The phone people have no power to do anything. The store people are even worse. My phone just stopped working one day. I took it to the sprint store. The guy said he could'nt do anything because the tech guy was'nt there. The tech guy's schedule? 20 hours a week! How is that supposed to work for a full time college student with a 15hr/wk job?? I asked what other options I had. Apparently, all the guy could do for me is add another line to my service...why in hell would I need another line of service when my phone wont turn on and im in danger of losing my entire phone book?? In conclusion - as soon as my contract is up, I'm quitting Sprint. They were bad before but only equally as bad as the other big providers. Since this merger with nextel, their customer service and service in general has gotten more expensive and less helpful. STAY AWAY FROM SPRINT and dont be swayed by the "featured" reviews that sprint paid to have at the top of the list. Just goes to show how much they care about their customers when they try to pay money to suppress our views - by puttin theirs on top.

I've recently been wavering on whether or not to terminate my Sprint service. I've used Sprint for over seven years, through many phones, and had typically been satisfied with the service. Over the past few months my signal has fluctuated at the drop of a hat as I walk down the street in Hoboken. I assumed the recent merge with Nextel would improve my overall signal, but seems to have made it worse. Now in NYC, where I work, the signal is pretty consistent and that's important so I may stick with my service for now. I'd hate to switch and find that service is even worse, at least I know what to expect from Sprint. Prices are somewhat steeper than some of the competition, but it's not outrageous considering the free nights and weekends. I use my cell phone as my home phone as well, so maximizing my minutes for the price is crucial. I would like to stress that my past experiences with customer service have been excellent. There's occasional wait times when calling in, but name a customer service line that doesn't make you wait just a little... just comes with the territory. As I mentioned earlier, I've changed phones many times for the mere fact that I wanted something new. I've always found something I've liked, typically Samsung, and the phones are super easy to navigate for calling, texting, and pics. One important item to note: Do not go to a Sprint Store if you're looking to buy a phone or inquire about service. Stick with the online store which is very simple. The past few times I attempted to go into a Sprint Store, especially in NYC, they had me going in circles just to find a representative to assist me. I stood in three different lines and ultimately never had my questions answered. Stick with online support or over the phone, the people are courteous and knowledgable.

Purchased the phone and plan for my son while he was in basic training, so he could call home to family and friends. Made sure I asked the question, "what happens to his service if he were sent over seas." the answer I received for both the store and phone CS was that they would stop the service and when he returned he would have to pick it up where he left off. I had no problem with that. If he had had a year left when he left he would have a year of the same service when he got back. wrong when it came time to put a hold on the service because he was going over to fight, I am told that I had misunderstood what the CS people had told me. Sprint was going to hold him to the year he had left, but then tack on another two, yes two years to his contract. Needless to say I didn't turn off the service, just gave it to my younger daughter to use, even though she doesn't need it, yet now that the contract is almost up the phone isn't working correctly,...........hmmm wonder if they want me to purchase a new phone when they think I am going to renew their contract. Wrong on both accounts

I have only one major complaint about Sprint PCS Plans that I have been unable to get resolved on a perminate basis. Every bill I recieve is incorrect. The amount of charges are incorrect every time. Without fail !!!!!! Charges for wireless downloads that can not happen since they deactivated that option should not be on the bill. Ring tones that were downloaded that should not happen. Anyway, calling the customer service to get this resolved every month , is not very much fun. If you do not watch the billing , you will be paying more thatn what you thought... Every time.......

Oh, how I have grown to hate Sprint over the past 6 months. Customer Service is HORRIBLE!!!!! The few times I have called, I sat on hold for a good 5-20 minutes till I have talked with a human that was overseas. 75% of the time, the call drops while waiting on hold. Almost like the phone system can handle the amount of calls going into the call center for customer service. Service isn't the greatest either. Drop calls while having a good signal. Text messaging problems. Start to make a call, full bars. Bars drop, got to wait for service, then it will go and start to ring. Sometimes in my apartment the cell phone goes into roaming. I guess in an brick apartment, I can expect less of a signal. But dropped calls/no service/roaming. When there is a cell tower about 1/8-1/4 mile away doesn't seem right. Had Tmobile in the past, nothing special about Tmobile. But much better then Sprint. AVOID SPRINT!!!!

I've been with Sprint since 1999 and have a mixed review. I agree with one other reviewer in that you think you have bad service or a bad cell phone or bad coverage until you hear others' horror stories. I've had numerous cell phones with Sprint, some Samsung, some Sanyo, and some Nokia. I have two lines with them. The good: coverage up north isn't terrible. They have an option (or used to) where you can pre-purchase roaming and it's fairly reasonable. Of course this is for those of us who live in a bigger city and spend some time up north. They don't drop very many calls anywhere in the state. They do have that exchange program that another reviewer mentioned, and I've only had one really bad phone (Samsung 320?) in all my years with them. The bad: The in-store service! When they actually get to you, the service is reasonable but the waits are excruciating. They'll have lines of 15 to 20 people and two people serving them. horrible! Their customer service through the phone also sucks. That ridiculous "choose this, press that, fake operator mess" is infuriating. I shout "representative" in the phone and get a real person fast. The real people are poorly trained and seem to really have to stick to the script. When you actually do get a manager above your first contact, they are very helpful. The website also has issues. So, all in all, if you pick a decent phone and a decent plan, Sprint can be relatively reasonable and worry free. If you have problems though, you're in for some headaches.

I've been with Sprint for at least 6 years. During that time, I traveled all over the US on business. For the most part, even in small towns in Colorado, I have been able to get service. I have the cheap cell phone they give to you with the plan and it's had problems, which I could accept if their customer service was better. I have expanded my plan, talk to the CS on the phone, nice people, no problem, get to the store to make the changes, "they never heard of that--the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing". I have worked with CS in so many states and all of them are rude, ignorant including the managers. The ONLY exception I have found is 42nd area of NYC and my Tallahassee office where I am actually treated with respect and questions answered and even go out of their way to help me! What a novelty idea with Sprint! Their web site leaves a lot to desire in terms of communicating the bill sometimes too. I'm still with Sprint because I get decent cell phone service but their lack of competent CS representatives in their stores has finally led me to check out other options come November when my contract ends...

Sprint PCS Plans Coverage is pretty good most of the time. We talk all over the usa and canada. Local calls can go to roaming for some reason. Customer service is really poor IMO. We are still using them but are looking for a better provider. I would never recommend them. We lose signal calling customer service.

You should be careful what phones you use with Sprint. In the two years I've had the plan, 2 of the purchased phones were lost so we bought new Sprint phones. We did not realize the difference in the coverage range. One phone would be able to pick up reception all over UWL campus however the new phone barely could connect. This difference in coverage was apparent near Madison as well. As soon as our policy is up we need to switch to a reliable service provider. Model: SCP-8100 was the phone that had little coverage. Model: SPH-A620 has good coverage.

The service in my area (Richmond) has been terrible since Sprint PCS merger, with many dropped calls. The worst part of this is the customer service response . I have called at least 4 times, with a list of at least 4 of my friends have difficulty. No one is willing to help, or really listen to the issues. The worst customer service I have ever experinced. They take your name and number and promise a manager will do call back and no one ever calls you back for follow-up.

Sprint together with Nextel..hmmm. Let's see I was originally with Verizon because I couldn't control my costs. So I went to Nextel with a cheaper plan, better plan. Two way radio worked great but the cell service sucked. So everyone said try Sprint they should have better service..NOT!!!! I have the wost coverage anyone could expect. I've had Sprint engineer's at my house and on my cell phone and all I get is everything is working the way it should. Three weeks on the phone with Customer service and still left in the dark. I can't roam in my own home and when it can roam I get a Verizon wireless operator. I got spoiled with Verizon. I'm going back.

I have opened a Sprint plan 1 year ago because I thought they have reasonable prices (which they actually do have until they adding on charges for services I did not ask for) and I got 2 free cell phones for the family plan which where not the best but it was ok everything went smoothly until I decided to change cell phones. I bought 2 new cell phones and I called Sprint to activate it before a year after I signed up for the plan I didn’t know that I will lose a opportunity to get a $75.00 rebate for each cell phone which is not available till a year. However
1) they didn’t tell me anything when I called to activate the cell phone
they told me that I have now an opportunity to get web 1 month free I said yes
2) they didn’t tell me that it has to be canceled before the end of the month so after the month on the bill I was charged for the web
3) I called to remove that charge they didn’t even understand why they should remove it the representative said “you said that you want it” it didn’t help to explain him that I wasn’t told that I have to cancel it after arguing a long time they removed the charge
if you think that this is all you mistaken
4) the next month I was charged again for web after I asked to cancel that service
5) I called them again to remove the charge after arguing a half hour they agreed to remove the charge but they will block the web for me which i’m not concerned about but this means customer service
before you thinking of signing up for a plan consider twice what service you will get they don’t even have the best price I got an offer for $10.00 less the same minutes by “Cingular” and as I hear from my friends they have a very good customer service.
When my plan ends I will switch to “Cingular”

I've had Sprint service for about 2 years and have been happy with it until recently. I used to live in Oklahoma City, OK, and I got great reception there, didn't have any problems, and found customer service helpful. In Shreveport, LA, however, the coverage is terrible. I frequently have dropped calls (>2 dropped calls per day), no coverage, and inconsistent customer service - especially at the Sprint stores. Honestly, I've never had any other cell phone provider, so I don't know how Sprint compares to others in the Shreveport area. However, I have been disappointed enough to write this article. When deciding on a provider in Shreveport, consider carefully!

I have been with Sprint for one year and I have not had any problems with the service plan until my contract was about to expire. My reception has started to go bad, and I have had to ask people to call me back numerous times because of the static that I receive in my cell phone in the Miami area. The company has been very supportive of trying to fix the problem but I still encounter difficulties. The coverage is great, customer service has been good to me but the quality of my reception is poor. I have one of the best plans with the company with cooperate rate benefits of 15% discount discounts towards my bill.
Stick in there, it has to get better.........

Overall, I am very satisfied with sprint cell phone service. Their coverage is spotty in a few areas, but overall as good or better than my friends with T-Mobile or Cingular. The call quality is generally good. My plan is excellent. Fortunately I don't have to use customer service much because it is not as easy as it should be to get help.
The glaring lack which may cause me to switch my four cell phones to another carrier is the lack of quality cell phones. My cell phone is fine for basic phone service. The camera is poor, but I don't really care much about it. However, I am considering moving to a smart phone in order to be able to retrieve email, send email, etc. The offering from sprint are very limited and the reviews are not particularly good. They are way behind in having top notch cell phones and it doesn't appear that they are making any real efforts to catch up. Too bad, but with cell phone number portability, I may move my company's phones to another carrier within the next 6 months.

I have been with Sprint since Feb 1999. I have had issues with the service but talking to other about their providers they were have the same issue and more. Sprint was willing to help solve the issues. Love sprints policy on phone defects. They just swap out phone for a reconditioned phone. Instead of many providers give you a loner phone and then main in your phone taking many weeks until the problem is fixed. And during that time you're stuck with the old base model phone, and if it gets damaged at all they will charge you to for a replacement phone. With SPRINT I walk-in and if its under warranty, they take my phone and get me a reconditioned phone and swap phone books and tell me to have a great day. I don't have to worry about phones, with-in 15 mins I had a different phone and was on my way.

Okay Sprint is really good to you until the trial period is over! They gave me 2 cell phones on my family plan, when they arrived I was told they were refurbished I called and was advised that they were not. The speaker phone on neither phone has worked since day one. Which I should have taken as a sign, but I figured what the heck how often do I need to use that...well 3 months into service I have one phone that does not ring at all, you either have to be holding it or looking at it to see if it is ringing....(this phone I use for my business!!!!) yeah okay great for business! The other phone drops every single call and the screen no longer works! I called sprint and guess what I am stuck with these pieces of crap!!! They want me to send them back to the manufacturer!!! When I said I could not send them due to using them for business I was advised to send them one at a time then!!!! When I refused they tried to sell me 2 more phones and another 2 year plan!!! The nerve! I just ordered 3 phones from Verizon today and am porting my numbers and canceling the sprint plan! If you plan on getting sprint.....GOOD LUCK!!!

Living in the middle of nowhere, I've been rather impressed by Sprint's coverage. I used to have US Cellular, with an old TDMA phone (the Nokia 6360 was one of the best for TDMA). In this part of the state, it's more common to have good TDMA & analog coverage, whereas CDMA rules in the bigger cities (and in more populous areas, TDMA has this nasty echo thing going on).
Anyway, despite what were the well known "typicals" for Wisconsin, my coverage has been surprisingly good with Sprint - actually, in some areas in the state where there was NOTHING digital (with US Cell, Alltel, or anyone else), I still had a signal with Sprint! And if not, I can still roam. Regardless of which carrier you choose, do your research with your phones!!! Typically, "fancy" phones that have cameras, gizmos, etc, dedicate more of their space, weight and battery to the fluff than to the phone! If you want good reception and battery life, get something a bit bulkier!!! (Less dropped calls, and less consequences from dropped phones!!!)

The billing site on the the Sprint page could use some work. It is never updated quick enough to know how many minutes I have really used. I can never be sure that what I used last nite and yesterday is recorded on there.
My reception where I live is horrible. I loose calls and break up alot. I do however live by water. If that makes a difference, I don't know. When I am in the basement floor of my house, where I spend alot of time. I cannot talk at all on my phone. This creates a problem for me.
When I am not at home though, I don't have any trouble with sprint, so far.
I recently reinstated my service with sprint. I upgraded to a 500 minutes all incoming from any phone company free. This plan is well worth its weight. I love it! I just wish I had another 50-100 minutes with this plan. I could stay with sprint forever on this plan. I have a buisness and get alot of incoming calls. It has really made a difference. Thanks sprint.

Customer service has drastically improved over the last year!! I now have free text messaging and free $10 off my power vision(internet access) and that is on all 3 of my phones... The fair and flexible plan I am on offers a much lower per minute overage charge than any other company. Billing problems have been credited which is something I would have had to pull teeth for a year ago, now corrected on the first call!!!! I have been a customer for 3 years and I am sticking around... they will take care of you if you ask!!! Most people are ignorant when it comes to their outdated phones or roaming minute usage!! Pay attention and you won't have either of those problems!!!

What do you call a company where service representatives give you contradictory service information as you move from one rep to another? What do you call a company where service representatives cannot help customers and lack the humility to say that they cannot help and possibly transfer you to higher level of support if there is (there's non in Sprint. I don't know where their bunch comes from)? What do you call a company that lies to the world about their relationship with Nextel? Be warned, if you take a Nextel service, you are out of Sprint, you have a new contract, you may loose your saved messages in your Sprint account, etc. Does that sound like the same company? Yet they tell us they are the same. They probably hope to be the same. But right now, a move from one to the other is not any different than a move to Cingular, or t-mobile or any other company. Recently for phone capability, I took a Nextel phone, stepping over from my Sprint account (so I thought). But I had to return to my sprint account because Nextel had no service in my area. It was the worst tec nightmare I ever encountered. Money was taken from me left, right, and center. The worst? My voice mailbox was purged in the process. Some messages in that mailbox were legal evidence. Sprint which tells me that it is the same with Nextel was too weak to hold my mailbox while I was walking from its bedroom to its living room. No! The truth is that from Nextel to Sprint and vice versa is a move from one sovereign country to another. You need a visa; and you need to jettison all unacceptable material from your luggage. No problem with that. But Sprint should make this known to customers. For me, my nightmare of several weeks ended today. I lost money and irreplaceable information. But I'm glad it's all over. If you fall into the same mesh as I just extricated myself from, you would have done that with your eyes open.

I have been with sprint for several years and, even when given the opportunity to change companies, I may look to see what their plans are, but I go back and talk to sprint. I live off the beaten track, close to an area that has absolutely no cellphone coverage, yet sprint generally picks up a strong signal. When I talked to customer service several years ago, I got a plan that gave me unlimited roaming for a fix dollar rate. The end result are limited dropped calls and no surprises on my billings. Thank you sprint!

I have been a Nextel customer and happy with my plan until they merged with Sprint recently. It's a different story now, however. I get more dropped calls than ever, customer service is absolutely horrible, and get this - my phone only works in certain areas! These were the reasons I left Sprint a few years ago to begin with. My cellphone provider is a complete hassle and that's the reason I'm canceling my plan again and going with someone else. I would not recommend Sprint to anyone looking for a reliable plan or a customer service oriented carrier. Their rates are great, the phone choices are okay - but beyond that, they have nothing more to offer. Having a cute phone doesn't help me reach anyone if I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere with no service. Nor get the client back I just lost due to another dropped call. Nor pay for the aggravation customer service puts you through should you have the nerve to call with a question...

Sprint totally stinks. I've been with them for 8 yrs which is way too long since all I've done is pay my bill every month in full & on time and the first time I need their help getting my (yes!) second phone changed over it took an act from congress to make it happen. It seems to me that there must be a better way to get real customer svc when you need it for new phones since they're mostly disposable. I got much better help regarding phone svc issues from the sales person at LetsTalk & that was before & after I agreed to buy a phone. Sprint needs some help.

Well let me start by saying "I love Sprint". I live in western Oklahoma and I would highly recommend Sprint as the premier wireless carrier across the United States. I've been with sprint now going on 8 years and when I first got with them they were just coming out strong in the wireless network. I must say they come out with all the neatest stuff available out today, like live TV on your phone (75 channels at that, that's more than my local cable company offers), mp3 player built into the phone, Sirius satellite radio in the phone, a built in FM modular so you can listen to Sirius satellite radio thru your car, the possibilities are endless. What will they come up next? I can go on and on with what they have to offer but check it out for yourself, you have a 30-day risk free trial, what do you have to lose?
Once your a customer you will agree NO ONE EVEN COMES CLOSE, not Cingular, not Verizon, no one. If you ever have a dropped call you can even get a $0.50 credit for dropped calls. Who else does this NO ONE. All you have to do is call *2 and say "Credit for a dropped call" its that simple.
Good luck and hope this helps everyone out there.

I have been a Sprint customer for 3 years. The ONLY perk is that they will do ALMOST anything to convince you to resign. For example, my friend got an extra $75 toward the phone of his choice. They offered me a plan with 1000 minutes, nights at 7pm, and PCS to PCS for less than $40/month if I renewed for another two years. Price wise, unbeatable but customer service representatives are either misinformed by superiors or too lazy to check facts. I have called four different times to inquire about adding a line and I was given four completely different answers. I have inquired about roaming fees and was told my specific plan had no fees, then I was charged for roaming, and they would not drop the fees until I asked to speak to a manager. The phones are expensive relative to other companies and I frequently have dropped calls. All that aside, my friends love Sprint, and I did resign my contract. Who could turn down all that for $40??

I cannot wait until my contract ends with Sprint!! Without a doubt the worst move we have made. Dropped calls - have literally been sitting in a chair and had a full signal, moved two chairs down and been on roam - roam charges show up on bill when you know you did not accept the roam rate or press 1 to make a call on roam, leading me to believe that if the switch happens while you are on a call, you will get charged roaming regardless. Don't really know because no one in customer service can give you an educated answer to any question I've posed to them!

Moreover, bills were often incorrect and artificially inflated. I recommend avoiding Sprint at all costs.

I am in need of a service after this nightmare and I refuse to stay with a company that does nothing to satisfy their customers. Everything is all about the contract. A good company would stand behind its product and bend on the contract. What is the use of having a relationship with a company that does not believe in its own products. I have never seen anything like it. The Customer Service 'sucks' and leave a lot to be desired. RUN!!!!

Sprint PCS has been the worst service, dropped calls, and price for the money. Customer Service was no help and I will pay the fees just to get done with this company and these people. Do yourself a favor and find another company.

I have had a sprint phone for almost 2 years. The coverage has always been great but there is nothing that could make up for their lack of customer service. It takes at least an hour to even get to someone who can make a decision and that assumes you can understand the first person you were talking to. My contract is up in Sept and I don't care where I go but it won't be Sprint.

I have had Sprint service since 1999 and have never had any problems with the service. Dropped calls are very infrequent, though when I drove through West Texas there were huge dead spots, but I imagine that would be true of everyone. LA, DC, Chicago, NY, Boston, Puerto Rico, I've had no service problems.
Sprint also lets long term customers negotiate better plans, so I have a great deal going on. I've had great experiences with customer service. if they are not helpful, I would hang up and call again - it helps!
My only complaint is that Sprint has the worst selection of phones at the highest prices. Nothing really fun like a Sidekick, and the Blackberry I need for work is very pricey.....

I have had Sprint for over 5 years , but in the last year I can not even use my phone at home. Customer Service tell's me that I live close to a tower but that really doesn't help me much. I took my phone in and they could not find anything wrong with it, So they ordered me another phone for $60.00.

I have been with Sprint for 3 months and I am trying everything I can to break our family plan contract of 5 phones...this service is such CRAP, I can't take it anymore but of course Sprint is giving us a hard time..I
refuse to pay the fee of $175 each on 5 phones to break our contract...we have dropped calls all the time, including while trying to call Sprint service to report my troubles...hah! and we have echo on one phone all the time, we get roaming on local calls 3 miles away...we get voicemail messages the next day and I personally got a picture 2 days later and one phone for my elderly mother will only work if she makes calls from her parking lot where she lives!
I have missed VERY important life-threatening calls from doctors at Johns Hopkins Hospital regarding my son who is very ill...and still Sprint will not give in unless we can prove that the "signal" is not good where we live...well we live in the suburbs of Phila, there should be NO trouble but still our phones and service suck...PLEASE DO NOT GET SPRINT...you most likely will regret it the same as my family!

I have been a Sprint customer for 5 years and have an awesome plan - 2500 minutes for $89 which includes a 2nd line - so I can't complain about my plan. My problem is coverage. I have been a Sprint bigot for the past 4 years or so, getting everyone I know on Sprint because I thought it was the best coverage on the planet. I don't know what has happened in the past 12 months, but I have more dropped calls in a week than I used to have in an entire year. I do travel quite a bit outside CA and the coverage has been excellent, but South San Jose (Almaden area) is terrible.
My husband is with Cingular and honestly, I don't think it is much better. It's possible that every company just has their trouble spots, but Sprint's coverage areas seem to be getting worse.

I don't care that Sprint has fairly good coverage, their customer service is so absolutely horrible that it is not worth the constant battle to stay with the company. Every-time I have an issue with my bill, it is an hour long affair and I get no where. When they merged with NEXTEL, they "revised" the terms of my original plan and suddenly my bills were through the roof. They claimed that they no longer had a record of the details of my original agreement, so there was no proof that my agreement had been changed. Is that legal?? Stay away - they will trap you with a long contract that you'll never be able to get out of.

Our contract runs out next month. We have been with sprint for 10 years now. We love the customer service and have always had great phones. Sad to say that we are highly looking into switching to another company. When I pull out of my driveway it goes to roaming then on my road it looses it signal at least 3 to 4 times. I can not going into public buildings such as Target and other stores with the signal going out until I leave the building. I get so jealous to see others walking in the stores freely on the phone. I am one of those you pass by trying to freeze in one spot to not loose my phone call. Sprint was great for a while but we sick of roaming and loosing the signal way too many times. The customer service is the best and we had it for 10 years now. I want to be the girl in Target walking in the back of the store on my phone.

They have really good, cost-efficient plans, but their coverage sucks so bad. My signal fades all the time, I expect it to fade now. Sprint sucks...don't waste your time. I think sprint is doing a good job in M.O, but you might want to do some deal research before purchasing a phone from them because they don't exactly hand you lower prices. Careful about using your min. Make sure you talk to the manager about your plan so u might get more reasonable pricing or minute plans. Go for unlimited mins. After 7pm and on weekends.

I've had Sprint service for just about 2 years. Lately I've been getting dropped calls, which I never had in the past. Seems like every day they are getting worse. The model phone I have is outdated and bulky. It keeps coming apart and the battery has dropped out of it often. My contract expires soon, and I don't intend to renew it because of the dropped calls.

I'm not sure what's happened to Sprint over the last year. I have dropped calls constantly. They are always trying to charge their older customers more than newer. Have to watch out for them charging for emailing/text messaging when you told them to discontinue the service months ago. Will likely switch.

I was a Sprint customer for one year and found their dead zones to be horrendous in Phoenix therefore I switched to Nextel. After being unbelievably happy with Nextel for three years, they were purchased by Sprint and now my phone drops calls, I have dead service areas in the middle of the city and their customer service is incompetent and completely uncooperative.
I would tell everyone in Phoenix to switch to Verizon but only because Nextel is no longer available to us.

I have had Sprint PCS for nearly 2 years now. I actually came to this site to see what others wrote about competitor carriers. Reason being Sprint's coverage is not nearly as good as Verizon's. I am trying to figure out if it is worth to change over to Verizon. Here is my review of Sprint:
Customer service at the store was moderate to horrible. I went there because my wife's phone crapped out, well it is about a 30 minute drive just to the store. We arrived at around 6:15pm we waited until 7:00pm before anyone even Acknowledged us. At that point we told them our problem and were informed that the Tech, who was still there by the way, could not help us because his shift ended at 7:00pm. I explained how we were there and failed to be noticed etc. They told me to come back and explained the hours of the tech. I said screw you and left.
After which I found a complaint form online and lodged a formal complaint at which time I was given a $20 credit on that bill, that was nice.
Service: My phone works like crap, anyone I talk to thinks I am mumbling and the quality of the call is skeptical. I believe it is just my style of phone, but either way it sucks. Also I will drop a call at least 5 times a week, not horrible but still a pain in the. Again it could be because of the phone. At any rate Sprint PCS has been good, but for the money I am paying I want to see if I can get someone better.

I had sprint service for 2 years and it was great while I had it. Around the Ogden/Layton area coverage is great and I rarely experienced any dropped calls. I was a little bugged by the fact that sprint didn't have any service in the bear lake/garden city area, but that was about the only place where I didn't get service. Our family plan was initiated in DEC of 2003 and so was still quite expensive as it was before the major price drops came, but that isn't saying much as they are competitively priced now and offered to save us a lot of money when we decided to switch to Verizon. We still declined though, not because of a poor experience but we had friends and relatives on Verizon's network and so with their in calling feature it made more sense.
Overall sprint is a great carrier and I would rec commend them to anyone in this area!

I have had Sprint for four years and have had few complaints. I have also had several different model phones over this time and have noticed a great deal of difference in the reception of these different phones based on the same locations (dead areas for some phones). My current phone LG PM225 has no antenna and the reception is much poorer than my previous Samsung, although the sound quality is far better. My suggestion, find out if Sprint (or others) have a loaner model that you can try at home or your place of work to see if it fits your needs (I plan to do the same with my next phone).

I had Sprint for 3 years and have only experienced dropped calls in NW GA. Did have some trouble in Denver at the airport. Otherwise, no real problems BUT when you change any part of your plan they mess up the bills and they are difficult to get corrected. Just ask for a corrected bill now and it is impossible however, they want their money now.

The phone could have been good, but it was defective. Sprint customer "support" is so bad that they could not figure out how to get me a new phone. The service is spotty in dc...terrible tower issues. Phone goes to voicemail when you try to answer. Bad enough the technology is in the gutter, but the absolute deal breaker is the poor customer support. It is every where from the store to the poor pitiful guys that answer the phone and were never given enough information to do their jobs. One gal in the store did not even know that PDA was a generic term for this device. She said it was not a PDA, it was a ppc! Amazing!

My husband is an OTR truck driver who relies on having dependable service. We talk every day since he's on the road most weeks and we do have spots where calls get dropped but he is able to pick up roaming signals and we get free roaming with our plan. We get free PCS to PCS which saves us a fortune in minutes. I don't think we saved a lot of money by switching to the family plan from two single lines... it's running about the same in costs. We quality of the calls are great. No static. When he is roaming we may get a dropped call. If he's on back roads we usually drop a lot of calls or have no coverage at all. Customer Service.... none! You talk to a machine or get someone who doesn't speak good English. Errors on bills are few and far between but when you do have one, it may take calling customer service three or four months to get it taken care of. The stores are good as far as help goes.

Sprint PCS has average coverage in San Diego - at best. Many dropped calls and bad reception. Customer service is also average - at best. The worst part is their contract. I somehow ended up with a 2 year program that I cannot wait to get out of. My phone screen went dead and they sort of fixed it. Then when it broke again they said I had to buy a new phone. I asked about the warranty I had been paying for and they said the repair counted as a new phone and I would have to buy a new phone at full price. My daughter has had Cingular service for the past 4 years and her service is so much better.

I have had Sprint for 6 years. 2 years ago I got a family plan for me and my daughter. After 18 months she joined the service. Now I had a family plan for two phones and I am the only one using it. I called Sprint and explained to them that I no longer need all those minutes because there was no way I could use them for myself. They said in order for me to go to an individual plan I would have to cancel the secondary line, $150, and renew my contract. I thought this was ridiculous that I could not go down to a cheaper plan for myself. Needless to say I can't wait until my contract is over so I can switch companies. I am now paying for a family plan that I don't need.

Sprints plan in Florida is all about dropped calls. I use my phone regularly and have come to expect drops as part of the norm. As a guess, I would say that I get either significant static or dropped in over 50% of my calls. It has lead me to understand that Sprint is not in business to support business and with a 2 year buyout requirement on most of their plans they get you coming and going.
I don't know about the others, but if you are looking at Sprint, look somewhere else because a bad roll of the dice is still better than Sprint.

Sprint/Nextel, whatever, nothing has changed. Customer service still sucks (1st 5 bills I received were wrong amount - one was 3x what it should have been), my phone does not work in my house (poor coverage). The only thing good about having the i530 phone is that when a call is dropped (10-20%) I can smash the phone against a wall and it will still work (very durable phone).
Oh and there was the time that I lost the phone - I had full protection. Nope, they wouldn't cover it - had to wait 30 days, until the next bill came in. I couldn't wait that long and paid out of pocket. It was later resolved and they gave me a $100 credit against a $200 phone that should have been replaced. I got ripped off again. They said they needed to prove that I had used the phone since 30 days ago. Thank God, I will be released from the shackles of a 2 year contract next month. It will definitely be a one year contract - not Sprint/Nextel.

If I could honestly give Sprint PCS customer service a negative numerical option I would. It's disgusting. Hold times are extremely lengthy and no one has any knowledge. Why even call? Going to the store is just as bad. You have to wait forever to speak to someone and then they don't know anything either. I'm really disappointed with Sprint lately. They used to be on the ball, and now when my contract is up I will have to go to a competitor.

I'm a little annoyed because I've been paying $15 a month for the Sprint Vision pack and have been unable to send a picture for months and have not gotten help at the store because they can't fix the problem but why can't they call their own customer tech service and fix the problem for me??? I had Sprint from 1997-2001 and then again from 2004-2006. During 2002-2004, I went with Verizon Wireless who had the worst customer service. It took them 2 months and several phone calls to figure out that they could not switch my number from a North Carolina number to a Maine number. Anyway, I've actually experienced better coverage with Sprint than with Verizon. I use to travel from Maine to Boston to work using I-95 and would experience dropped calls with my Verizon service. In addition, I always had dropped calls at my house in Maine with Verizon and never with Sprint. Customer service has always been awesome during the years I've had service with them, especially at Sprint stores.

Sprint service was "just ok" before the hurricanes. After the hurricanes the service has plunged big time. Many dropped calls. No service in most places. By far the worst company ever. Try a goof on their part with a $2600 bill because of calls made in Montana. Supposedly while on roam, (which was on my plan) the phone was picking up other service towers.

All I can say is that I get okay service but the customer service is horrible, so horrible that I am dropping both lines that I have with them and going else where. If you have any problems at all good luck dealing with them. They have screwed up my phone bill several times over charging me. It seems like I am always in roam even though I pay no roaming fees you can not use any of your text msgs or picture mail or the internet or your ready link. So my advice is to shop around and see who is the best but if you live anywhere near my area I wouldn't get sprint because you will be in for a bad one. Like I said they upset me so bad that I am changing providers and canceling my service with them.

Ok, here it goes. I used to have sprint pcs service. The coverage and call quality was "okay". The customer service is completely awful, and the cost benefit was awful too. I guess it wouldn't be so bad if they weren't completely ripping me off. I had to file a complaint with the BBB just to get them to fix the error that was due to their ignorance. I switched from sprint to Cingular, but Cingular really isn't any better. In any case, I'd say stick to Verizon wireless, if you can get approved through them. I have had sprint for about three years. I use to travel full time in my motor coach, mainly eastern united states and my cell service was mostly acceptable. Often traveling to remote areas where most cell services were poor at best and sprint was equal to or better than most providers. I have tried most cell service providers in the past and I am better satisfied with sprint than most. The sanyo scp-8100 phone has provided good service.
Having said all of that as my current contract nears an end, I am trying to decide about staying with sprint or switching to Alltel. This is about the only service that I haven't tried and I am getting very good feedback about them. The future will tell the rest of the story.

I've had sprint now since October, 2000. I've never really had a problem with the qualities of their network, or their service - often while traveling for my past job, I'd find that I would be the only one with service in remote locations.
I do have problems with the phones that are made available (I am a mac user and currently can not sync my info via bluetooth with any of their "more affordable" bluetooth phones - unless I use my circa 2003 Sony Ericsson t608).
Also - I'm not a big fan of the lack of service in Europe (or international service selection) - I don't think I'll purchase their only international CDMA/GSM phone (the sprint pcs international phone ip-a790 by Samsung), that doesn't support texting and has a bump-up in price when you do use it internationally.
I'm currently considering leaving sprint to go to either t-mobile or Cingular.

I have been with Sprint for years and have been pretty satisfied. Calls are clear and rarely dropped. I have had good responses from customer service. I would definitely stay with sprint except for one thing: I do not get reliable service at my summer cabin which is in a remote area of northern Wisconsin, and since I do not have a land-line phone there, I really need wireless. However, nobody else that comes to my cabin gets connections with their phones/companies either, and at least I can connect on and off, depending on the weather.

Overall the past almost 2 years I have do not have many complaints with sprint. The coverage overall is pretty good, I've gone out of country and haven't had any problems. I cant say I've had any problems with cust. Svc. And when my phone was stolen they promptly cut off that phone and send my new phone to me. I also like how there is a spending limit per each account so that I never get my phone bill astronomically high. I usually never go over my minutes and the price I pay is great for what I get with my service. I doubt I would ever switch to another company seeing as how many of these companies I have heard aren't as great with the coverage area or what you pay per month.. Ill be renewing again when my contract is up..

Sprint to me is the worst I've ever had. I have tried different cell phone dealers and sprint comes dead last. I ride in my car down the street and my call is dropped, and at my own house I never had service. Plus, you can't call while roaming or they'll charge you an arm and a leg. I also signed the contract I have for only the basics, just the minutes I have, &pm nights, and insurance. Turns out I was being charged for everything, unlimited pcs vision as they call it, unlimited international (I don't even call out of the country), unlimited everything. I just finally got that situation taken care of, for once. I definitely plan to change cell phone companies when I get a chance.

I've been in a billing hell for the last 2 1/2 months. I've spent countless hours (40-50) on the phone with their customer no-service groups and I am constantly told something different. I've yet to see credits and adjustments that were promised and their collections department is forever harassing me to pay for disputed charges. My current amount due is different every time I talk to them and no one seems to take a genuine interest in my billing issues, despite the fact I've been paying undisputed charges without a problem. With an employee-customer ration of 1:25, their stores are no different. My local Sprint-Nextel store had a small waiting room because there is never enough associates available to help you! Insane. Their call quality and coverage seems ok, just pray you never experience a problem with your bill.

I've had Sprint over ten years. I have had pretty fair luck with Cust. Serv. PROVIDED you stumble onto someone who is conversant in English!!!! Re: dropped calls; very seldom. People need to realize that Cell and PCS phones are not phones! They are little, highly complex, flea power 2-way radios and as such ALL carriers are going to have problem areas....it's the nature of radio esp. At those frequencies and therefore unavoidable! My only serious complaint with Sprint is their antiquated CDMA system. There is a very noticeable delay in the information exchange so you always appear to be interrupting or being int erupted. Call a wired phone next to you sometime and listen for the delay, it's like talking to the moon. When going to another Sprint phone you almost need to say "over".
The merger with Nextel may have been good for Nextel but it sure didn't do anything to improve Sprint.

I have been in Marketing and Customer Service for over thirty years and I have never experienced service as poor as that "provided" by Sprint. I get a great discount through my work for using Sprint but even that is not enough to keep me as a customer. Sprint has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The reps in the stores must take a class in how to avoid answering questions, blaming the phone manufacturer and how to keep the customer confused. We (my wife) has been through four phones (always rebuilt junk) to avoid having to be signed up for another contract. It seems like every time you call them they extend the contract. Enough! Even at $150 per line early out it is worth it to get rid of them.

Until the merger with Nextel I was pretty happy with my Sprint PCS service. I have had sprint for 7-8 years. The coverage and call quality is still pretty good but God help you if you ever need any customer service. It is nonexistent. I have been on hold for as much as 45 min. Average hold times are 20 min +.
Service agents are hostile, rude and abusive. I feel like I'm dealing with the Motor Vehicle Department of the state or perhaps some collection agency. They treat you so badly. i think they think that they are doing you a favor by being there.
I've got news. It is paying customer like myself who keep this company in operation. I think I will pay the early cancellation fee to to be rid of them.
I have seen reviews on this site that confirm my feelings. If you are considering Sprint / Nextel BEWARE. You could get much less than you ever bargained for

Sprint customer service is so bad that its painful to even vote a 1 in the best to worst category. They are angry, do not listen to you (they assume they already know your question) and really do not appreciate their customers. Every time I call their customer service center I am on the phone for at least a half-hour stating and restating my question while the representative throws out answers that never address my questions, forcing me to beg for an answer and try to repeat my question. In addition, the give a 150 dollar rebate towards a phone to new customers, but only give a 75 dollar rebate to all ready enrolled members when their contract expires. In searching for help I went to a Sprint store in the mall about 20 minutes from where I live, just to be told that they are mainly a Nextel store and do not know much about Sprint and I would have to go another 30 min in the opposite direction to find a Sprint store......I guess the Sprint name over the outside of the store was just a joke. I have been with Sprint for 8 years and this will be one of my final days with them. Why anyone would continue to stay with Sprint PCS is beyond my comprehension.

I really dislike Sprint. They have the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. If you ask them a question they don't want to answer, they just leave you on hold until you hang up or never email you back. Every time I go to the Sprint store they tell me something completely different . I am waiting 3 more months until my contract is up because I don't want to pay the cancellation fee of $150 to shut off my phone. I am just unhappy in general with the way they treat there customers.

I would occasionally experience dropped calls in the valley with Sprint PCS (approx 10% of calls). Having friends with the Verizon service, I can confidently say they have better coverage.
Frequently my phone would act more as a pager than a cell phone (phone would alert me to a message from a call that came in but the phone didn't ring). That would sometimes happen three times a day (which amounted to roughly 50% of my calls). Other than that, I didn't have any problems with the phone itself.

I changed to Sprint just before Christmas. I got a Family plan, 3 lines. I can't make calls from the grocery store, which I never had a problem with my other phone doing. When they send text messages from one of our phones to another they disappear to who knows where. They never show up or if they do go through they abruptly end. The calls cut in and out. They give you a 14 day trial period, they worked good until that was up!!!So now I am either stuck with them for 2 years or I can pay 150.00 per line to get out of it. The pricing was good and I guess I fell for that. It definitely wasn't worth it!!!!

Ghastly customer service. This company is an absolute zero for it's in-store service, and the service operators are even worse. Be ready to spend literally hours on the phone for service, to be cut-off, hung-up on, passed back and forth from one tech to another, and to repeat dialing and speaking your number, and codes dozens of times. In the end it will only be a waste of your valuable time. Sprint is not worried of losing customers to poor service representation, and it shows brilliantly!

by Sprint Customer -- February 13th 2006 -- Redmond, WA
Well, my stint with Sprint hasn't been the worst I can imagine, but that's about the best I can say for it. Since having this phone, I've lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Boise, Idaho, and Redmond, Washington. I haven't gotten a good signal in any of these places, and it hasn't been uncommon for the phone to switch to another network entirely, costing me roaming charges to use it. Today at work it did that, and the roaming signal was a better and clearer signal than I've *ever* gotten on the actual Sprint network. I was a Nextel customer before and it was slightly better; now that the companies are merged, I'm going to steer clear of both of them. My contract ends in March, and I'm eagerly awaiting the chance to jump ship to a better provider.
So that's really my main gripe. A second is that as a software developer, Sprint's developer support is terrible--I've been wanting to play around with apps using the phone's built in GPS support, but Sprint has made it nearly (if not totally) impossible for most developers to get access to the necessary API.
Otherwise, I guess Sprint has been ok. Anytime I've had a question or problem I've submitted it through their website and always gotten a quick, informed, and satisfactory reply. That's about the only thing I've been happy with, other than the phone itself, which has been pretty nice. It would be nicer if Sprint actually bothered to improve the web services/applications they provide, which suck. I gave up on any Sprint-provided web stuff long ago, Why should I need to go through 5 menus to check the status of a flight or find a restaurant? I don't know what people at Sprint work on--I haven't seen any improvements in anything from them in the year I've had the phone. The network is no better, web stuff is no better, and to top it off I pay *more* than I did with Nextel, which was supposed to be the 'expensive' carrier. Lousy--these clowns have lost my business forever.

I've been a customer with Sprint for over 5 years. I used to love their service and customer service. I never had a problem until about a year ago. I switched my plan to a family plan and expected the new yearly contract to start over, but they wanted two years. Whatever, I said ok, I like Sprint. My phone would work most of the time out at my house, then gradually went down hill. I was given a new phone for Christmas and activated it about a month later. That phone was terrible. I went to the local customer service desk to see what we could do. Absolutely nothing, except for buying a new phone, full price. I was outraged. I'd been a loyal customer and just because I waited a month to activate my new phone, I was given the run around. If I would had activated it within two weeks of the purchase, I'd been OK. The customer service rep told me my new LG phone was not their best phone anyway and showed me where the door was. I didn't leave, I demanded to speak with his manager. I was then given a $199 credit toward a new phone.

I have a basic phone with basic coverage. I had no problems with Sprint until they merged with Nextel and I can hardly wait till Nov gets here so I can tell them to jam it. When my phone is on in the house it beeps while searching for a tower. It is very annoying to know that it can't find a tower in the "big city". You drive out in the country and get beautiful reception. So I change the roaming settings to analog and if I use my phone they charge me for roaming. I talked to Missouri for 15 minutes on roaming and the jerks charged me $7.00 for the roaming fee. I hate them. I am undecided which one to go to next but I believe 2 tin cans and a string is better than Sprint.

I can not get coverage in my house!!! Standing on one leg, with one hand in the air, outside in the mist of awful weather does not cut it anymore, common Sprint get updated to the 21 century. I don't know if Sprint has a blockage device when you try and make calls from your house or what, but my in-laws have Sprint and also have to go to certain places in their house while talking on the cell phone. I have dropped calls every-time in certain spots on us 70. The service is horrible, waiting for hours on hold. They sucker you in to upgrade to a new phone, by extending your contract two years. However, to break the contract is only 150. Coverage has improved since they acquired Nextel, however, still many dead zones.
Don't know yet who I am going to use as my provider, but plan to switch soon since my contract was up in December!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've had this Sprint service for about five or six years now and I have honestly been too lazy to switch it even though the quality just sucks beyond belief. In Houston the coverage is horrible. I lose calls everyday on most of the major highways and especially in the Rice Village area like clockwork. It will also lose signal for no reason in the middle of calls when I'm sitting still constantly. It's just horrible. I logged on to research new phone services in hopes of switching immediately.

I have had my service for almost 4 years now and I have had excellent service with Sprint. My phone works in more places than anyone else's phone that I have seen and the newer Fair and Flexible plans have a lot of good value considering the free roaming included with many of the plans. Customer service isn't bad. It's just like any other company, if you get someone who doesn't seem like they know what's going on just try someone else. Call centers will always have a few bad apples no matter what company.

Well I have to admit that I haven't had Sprint long, but so far anything is better than Cingular! I have not had a dropped call with Sprint yet, and with Cingular I would have 5 bars and standing still and lose the call to no service! Verizon was the best I have had, but their billing was not very good. Everytime I went to change plans, they would screw me. Overall I am ok with Sprint so far.

The coverage for my area sucks. It was on a list of area coverage and now it somehow does cover my home area when I seen it with my very own eyes. So did my husband he thought about coming over to sprint but now he's not because it does have good coverage. But they have good prices on their plans that is why I decided to go with Sprint.

Well, I have been with Sprint since 1998. Over the years, I have switched to a family plan, and now have 5 phones on my account. While Sprint does not have the BEST coverage, it is still good. I have rarely been somewhere where I was not able to make a phone call. While I have had issues with my bills and my accounts, and I have sometimes had to stay on the phone for awhile to resolve it with a customer service representative, every problem has always eventually been resolved. I have never had a problem that was not resolved. One benefit I have found with Sprint that I know, at least Verizon does not offer, is the ability to have multiple lines on you account with different Area Codes. I have three Philadelphia numbers, a San Diego number, and a Bay Area number on my plan. You can go to any Sprint store nationwide, and they can access your account--with Verizon, I know you used to not be able to do this.
The only company I would consider superior to Sprint is Verizon. They do have better coverage--there is no debating that. Cingular? They may have better coverage, but they do not use CDMA, which means the quality of calls is going to be lower. Other companies? Well, there coverage just isn't as good as Sprint. When price and value is considered, I just have not been convinced that Verizon is better than Sprint.

Sprint has horrible service so I cancelled my contract in July. They didn't cancel me until November. They still wanted me to pay for service between these dates, even though I didn't use the service, so I paid it to get rid of them, and to call it even with a zero balance. But, they sent me a cancelation fee. Now they won't keep their promise with me, and they continue to send bills. I can't even get a hold of management. They hang up on me after I wait for hours on hold. I hate Sprint and I I'll never use them again, not even if you paid me to.

I have been with Cingular, Nextel, Sprint, and T-Mobile and out of all 4 of those cell phone companies, Sprint has been the only wireless provider I've ever been satisfied with, because out of all 4 of them, Sprint PCS has provided the best coverage, the best reception, best phone quality, wonderful customer service and practically no dropped calls and a lot fewer dead zones, but Cingular was the worst company I've ever been with, so I plan on sticking to Sprint and would never consider switching to another wireless company.

I have been with Sprint since 1999. The coverage has gotten better but customer service is terrible. Also watch their spending limit. I went over my plan minutes in the middle of the billing cycle and they turned off my service. I called to ask what the problem was, they stated I was over the $125.00 spending limit and needed to make a payment to restore service in the middle of a billing cycle. I will definitely be changing carriers when my contract ends.

Sprint is without a doubt the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life!! You can never get a straight answer. I called and spent 4 hours on the phone one day and never got the same answer twice. I have been blatantly lied to multiple times and they seem not to care anything about it. If you have enough signal to receive a call, hold your breath because it will probably drop within a minute or so. I do not like this company and I am terminating my contract early and going to Cingular.

Sprint is criminal and should be jailed, I have to call every single month because my bill is incorrect. I spend 45 minutes a month with customer service. I have 5 phones on the family plan and they told me to go pound sand when one of my phones broke. They offer new customers better deals than me who has been a customer for 6 years. I'm gone. They are 3 road spots that I loose the single every single time I drive through. I reported it but, nothing ever changes.

I had been with sprint for over 3yrs, in the military I travel to other countries and utilized there international plan advertised at .18/min but when I return with a $1300 bill two weeks later. Explained to be due to international roaming charges at $1.50/min which was not explained to me until my return. After double checking pricing before my departure, they would not credit the account claiming they had "a note on the account" stating my education on the international roaming fee. This never hap pend and now I am taking 10 sprint customers with me don't let this happen to you. There customer service is the worst ever, you have to go through a maze of automated menus to talk to a person who does not know how to help you PAY THEM!!!!!!

We'll what can I say that hasn't been said in the previous posts. Ever since Sprint Merged with Nextel and over the past year my service coverage has been absolutely terrible. Not only do I get dropped from calls ever single day, I also loose connections constantly, even with Local calls that are not roaming!!!
In fact my coverage is so unpredictable that I can't connect to Sprint customer service using *2 on most days and I live in Alexandria, VA!! They have perhaps the most awful coverage plan Ever. I can't emphasize enough to folks who are thinking of buying into the Sprint Sham, DON'T DO IT. You will absolutely hate the coverage and lets just not go there when it comes to customer service, you've probably read about it already.

Well, I just had a good customer service experience. I've been a Sprint customer from several years and had my share of bad experiences ranging from incorrect billing to misinformation from reps to crappy coverage. But I figure that goes with there territory. Service providers are notoriously conspicuous as winners when the public is asked for their opinion on bad retail experiences. But today I have to give Sprint credit. I visited one of their stores and bought a new phone to replace an old one. Not only was the rep knowledgeable and gave the impression of having some integrity but he actually steered me to yet another of those unpublished bonuses that are available only if you ask. Did you know that as a credit union member you are entitled to a discount on your phone bill? Yep, in my case, 10 percent. Just ask for it. So, for the time being, Sprint is a winner. Hope it lasts.

Sprint coverage has improved over the years. I can't say the same about their customer service though. They've got the most incompetent and rude customer service folks. I've been with Sprint since 1999 and have never been late paying my bill. I was late once and immediately they call you directly on your cell phone to ask you to pay. I was driving at that time and politely asked them to call me back at another time. They refused and asked that I pull over and pay my late bill immediately over the phone or they would disconnect my service. I was furious and demanded to talk to a manager. The manager was equally rude. I can't wait for my 2 year plan to expire which they tricked me into renewing btw. A Sprint Rep called me last year to entice me to switch my plan. He said everything would stay the same but my bill would be $10 less and I would be able to make night calls starting at 7pm instead of 9pm. I've got 2 phones sharing the same plan. What he didn't tell me was that my share-a-phone fee was going to increase from $10/month to $20/month. So, yes my 500minutes/month plan went down by $10 but my share-a-phone fee went from $10 to $20. And now I'm hooked for another 2 years!

Sprint is the worst carrier I've ever had the displeasure of using. I can only use my phone in certain areas of my home and in my neighborhood I'm lucky to get 2 bars. That is just an issue with coverage which I understand continues to grow and my phone could also be the reason. But the customer service is the worst of any company I've ever had to contact. A billing issue that took 9 months to work out. Overcharges that took 3 - 4 months to be credited. And the least informed, least intelligent customer service reps in the industry. My contract ends in a matter of days and the worst service I've received in my 2 year hell with them has been in the past month. Please avoid this carrier!!!!

My biggest complaint about sprint is the horrible customer service. Lately, I have had to call customer service a lot and its really irritating when you can't have a problem resolved in one phone call. You have to call back several times. I have not been able to access the browser on my phone for like a month and they still have yet to fix it. Most of the reps don't really know what they are talking about. I have had a lot of billing issues also. The call quality has even been bad. Not too many dropped calls but lately the connection has been really bad. I hear static. I usually have to end the call and try back again for the call to go through. I have been with them for two years. I love their phones but I don't want to keep giving money to a company that can not provide quality service.

The coverage isn't bad. It will drop from time to time, I can normally just dial *2 and say dropped call, and they'll refund me the cost for a minute. I also know from living in 3 cities in the last year, that it works better some places than others. Since I've had the phone so long, I've gotten a good price. The customer services is what I'm complaining about. From my experience bills aren't updated online till maybe 10 days after your billing date. You have to dig through menus on your phone to find an actual person because their menu's on the phone don't tell you anything that you can't find online. When you do get to sit on hold to talk to a person expect to wait. I hope when something does go wrong you have a free afternoon. It's better to just send them an email through the contact us section of their site and wait a couple days for them to get back to you.

I liked my Sprint service before moving to the Midwest. Now, my calls are constantly dropped, and although my plan has "free roaming" they charge me roaming charges...even if I "roam" no further than the far side of my love-seat (in my home)! Sprint even charges roaming for 911 calls, a service which we automatically pay for in advance with each bill. (They dropped them too-so I had to keep calling 911 back.) Add to this, Sprint has recently been charging "miscellaneous fees" to my bill, even though I barely use my phone (due to lack of reception). Sprint simply sells service that they do not deliver. Don't believe their coverage maps.

I've heard a lot of mixed reviews between Sprint and Verizon, but I've never had a problem with Sprint or their customer service or coverage either. But a lot of people who are former Sprint customers who are now with Verizon have told me that they've had better coverage and less dropped calls with Verizon. That Verizon had better customer service than Sprint does, but I've never experienced any of those problems with Sprint and I've been with Sprint for a total of 4 1/2 years now. On the other hand, I've had a lot of Sprint customers who are former Verizon customers who have told me they were very unhappy and disgusted with Verizon Wireless, because according to my information, they got too many dropped calls with Verizon and got fed up with it, so they finally ended up switching to Sprint and have much better coverage and service with Sprint and have been much happier with them, but I've never been with Verizon before, so I cant speak from experience there, but I can speak from experience with Sprint and T-Mobile, but T-Mobile was awful, because the phones echoed, the calls were incoherent, plus my wife and I got too many dropped calls and lousy coverage with T-Mobile too, plus we couldn't hardly understand each other when we talked to each other on our T-Mobile phones. Additionally, I think Sprint should have been voted as America's number 1 wireless network as well as America's most reliable wireless network too, so maybe eventually Verizon will have a turnover and Sprint will get voted number 1 instead of Verizon.

Sprint's customer service is the pits. Every change worth anything requires a new 2 year contract. I refused to renew. Overage charges occurred during Hurricane Charley because the phones were out for two weeks. Sprint would give out phones for new customers but banged everyone who was a customer with overage charges due to a Hurricane. Nice company. Just tried again to find a better plan as I have 3 phones (3 children and a wife) but that 2 yr deal was a show stopper again. Looking for another plan.

I have used cell phones extensively over the past 10 years in my position as a traveling software consultant. Never in those 10 years have I had a phone with service as bad as Sprint. I consistently roam in my hometown and frequently drop calls on a daily basis. When I voiced my concerns to Sprint's customer support, I was bludgeoned into submission by the endless canned responses and form e-mails. I was told I could get unlimited roaming for less than what I am currently paying, but I have to sign up for another 2 year agreement. Forget it -- If sprint sells a phone in Frederick, MD with a Frederick, MD exchange, it had better well work when I'm IN FREDERICK, MD!!!! I'll never pay for another Sprint product or service again.
