I am very pleased with my net 10 wireless phone and in particular net 10's customer service...they are wonderful folks...very courteous and professional when they talk to their customers. I didn't like the phone number that initially came with my telephone (three sixes in a row in the phone number) so since I am a bit superstitious I requested that my number be changed....they sent me a new Sim card and I got it in an extremely timely manner and got help with the folks in customer service to get me back on line again the same day that I received my new Sim card. Wonderful service...cannot say enough nice things about net 10. I'd recommend this company to anyone....great customer service and 10 cents a minute...who could ask for anything more.

The only problem that I have had with Net 10 has been with customer service. After normal business hours I could not get the problem resolved with their overseas call center. When I called during normal business hours the next day, things were taken care of in about 10-15 minutes.

Had service for about 18 months. Based here in St. College,PA no problems. When I leave however, I often find no signal when other cell phones get full bars or nearly so. I know they're part of TracFone, but definitely don't use Verizon cell towers as I heard most TracFones do. As long as remain in town or other LG urban areas, service is very fine and reloads EZ.

I have never experienced such horrible service in my life. I needed my new phones shipped to my hotel when I was traveling on business. After having to buy 2 temp pre-paid phones while we were waiting for them to arrive, I spent hours trying to figure out the hold-up. Then my order was cancelled. No explanation. I got home. I tried to re-order over the phone. Computers went down 4 times during call. I gave up. Tried to order on-line. Order finally went through. Paid extra for next day air verses FREE three day shipping. All my clients have my cell #. Old cell not working. I expect phones next day, and I needed them the next day, hence the extra expense... like sprint or at&t, if they next day then you get it next day. Over 10 days later I finally got them. Many phone calls. Mind you, every time I called, I waited on the phone for 30 minutes to an hour... time after time after time. Today. Just tried to set them up... one doesn't work - problem with port and bad sim... they are going to send me a new sim. Port pending still. Other phone - we can make calls just can't receive them... I am so frustrated. I kept telling my husband $30 a month per phone unlimited everything is not worth bad customer service. He thought it would get better that it was a fluke. I can tell you this is how this company operates. It is skocking and I am so angry. Latest incident, I was on the phone trying to fix the problem, I was disconnected. I called back at 8:30pm, held for over an hour... not unusual. Finally called them with another phone. They are closed. How long would they have left me on hold??? Til tomorrow morning? I would think a phone company would have better phones and better phone etiquette than that! My phone issues wait... as do my clients... I encourage you to stay away!

My opinion is that for the rates that Net 10 charges there is no way that you can go wrong here. I have last years top of the line Samsung model for the service. It is a VERY good phone that I got on sale. I live near a line of foothills in the South San Francisco Bay area and the reception here is spotty. On some occasions I actually have to go outside to make a call. I use the 25.00 monthly 750 minute plan that I think is a steal. My final comment: If you are on a budget and cannot afford premium service give this a try.

I have both a Net 10 and a track phone and am darned sorry I bought either one of them. Pieces of junk. I cannot depend on them to work when I need them. I will have a good signal but phone says no network or emergency calls only, or I have no minutes when I have over 170 minutes showing. Save your money people!

I've only had it for a short time and haven't had to call customer service for any issues yet, but as far as the service goes I'm so surprised how good it is. They use the AT&T and Verizon networks but I wasn't sure if it was going to be a slower speed or lesser quality but i have to say the web is blazing fast and I have service everywhere. So glad my buddy on my basketball team told me about it.

Now for March Madness, it’s been really important for me to be able to keep up with my games, no matter where I am. Thanks to Net10, I was able to do just that. With my 50 dollar unlimited plan, I was able to check scores and updates from anywhere using the unlimited internet.

Was extremely unhappy with AT&T and their creative billing policies. After much research I decided on Net 10. I am originally from CT so my mother was on my AT&T family plan. I got her a net 10 phone as well as my wife. I have been extremely happy with the call quality and the coverage. The flexible billing plans are a great plus. Text messages go through instantly and I have no more or no less coverage in buildings than I did with AT&T. The customer service can be rough to deal with but overall I would rate them adequate. I am very happy with the LG900g. The real downside to this phone is that I can't stream video. But, I can check my email, create emails and surf the web(get OperaMini).I would highly recommend this phone and net 10 to anyone based on my experience so far.

Switched from Sprint due to very high cost. Had Net10 for over a month. Set up is easy, when adding additional minutes to the two phones, no problem. Still figuring out which card is best for us. I text a lot, she does not know how. Great system. I may buy a better phone for easier texting.

This Company is Awful!!! Had Net 10 phone for 2 WEEKS, took a week and a half to get a Phone #, only problem was couldn't call out, or receive calls. I spent 8 hours on the phone (not my Net 10, cause it never worked) talking to company Reps through out Central and South America, to no avail. I was dumped back in the "Waiting" call pool many times, I gave my information over a dozen times to over a dozen people, yet no information was ever in their net work. Before you buy Anything from these guys, go out and get a Rock and right a message on it and throw it in the direction you want your message to go. It will be much more efficient than dealing with this Third world phone service!

Net10 is about as cheap as you can get for an unlimited plan without a contract, and without sacrificing signal quality. The signal quality is great because they use the Verizon and ATT towers so you know you aren't getting ripped off on the basics. The internet is not 3G but this is luxurious for a budget option.

Love Net10 so far! Hasn't dropped a call yet, which is pretty remarkable because I'm only paying 50 dollars for a completely unlimited plan that includes email so I figured that I would be in for some bad service. If you have to call in I heard the customer service is not great so make sure yours works! lol

Worst cell company in the world. I spent 5 hours on the phone, 5 hours trying to activate a new replacement phone. People there are the worst in all the cell pool of dunbassess. Freaking had to spell my name 8 times, then I asked him to read back my address and he had it 100%wrong. After giving up with this idiot the next women was worst, the next after her was brain dead , (couldn't spell Florida) spelled it 4 time then gave up. Thought this was a joke or something. I would pay Verizon anything they want now that I have experienced net10. The 10 stands for there IQ.. I had $250 in minutes on my phone,,,, GONE... they cant find them, just flew away. Never,, never did I speak to a person in the western hemisphere, they where all "out sourced" people.even Dell at it's worst wasn't this bad..

I purchased this phone because of the cost since I prefer a prepaid phone and inexpensive texting. The phone I purchased advertised 3 cent texts, but I had to talk strongly to customer service before they gave me the 3 cent per text rate. I have had other problems with their service since. I don't like their website--they don't provide enough information such as a record of usage. I cannot verify my usage or anything on the website. All I can do is purchase more minutes. I am not pleased with this service. "You get what you pay for."

The flexibility that Net10 is what attracted me to it apart from the unbelievable price of course. I don't always need the same usage each month as some months i'm in my office much of the time and other months out on the road. With Net10, i can change from one plan to another without much fuss and doing so really save myself money. Recommended for this reason above all others.

STAY AWAY from this cell phone carrier !!! I can't emphasize this enough. I've had the service since June '08 and have had to send back 4 phones. On the first phone, there was a problem with the charging docket and the charger cord would not properly fit into the phone itself. On the last 3 phones, the phones would , for some reason, power themselves off, and when I would power them back on, a trac phone screen would show up, making my Net 10 service unusuable. Customer service is absolutely terrible. I CANT emphasize this enough !! Every time I've had to call, I was never on the phone with them under 45 minutes. Most of the time it was over an hour. One time, it was one hour and 45 minutes. No one knows what they're doing ! No one speak English enough to understand them, even the supervisors ! One may wonder why I've stayed with the service for 2 years. Basically, because its affordable. Oh, and the result of my " powering off " problem with all of my phones and them signing back on to a Trac Phone screen, it happened with my 4th phone. Everytime I've called about this, each customer service person, would have a different excuse as to why it happened, and again, even the supervisors. I've had it with the service. Even though its affordable, I'm cancelling my service and going elsewhere.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! Was told that I could transfer my 400 minutes from tracfone to Net 10 (same company) but when I activated new phone, guess what the answer was...yep, "sorry, sir for the wrong information." $40.00 worth of minutes lost. They could compensate minutes, but kept telling me they could not...be ware

I have had Net10 for just about half a year now and I'm pleased with the company's reliability and accountability. They advertise cell phone "happiness" and "no evil". In fact, recently at www.net10laughoff.com, Net10 is trying to promote the happiness from prepaid. My phone was only $19.99 but then again you get what you pay for. The phone is simple and small, but I only really use it to talk/text so I am in no need for a smartphone or the like. My monthly usage I would say is average and so my wallet stays pretty fat. If you're a huge talker that enjoys commitment and contracts, stay away. However, if you're looking to save a lot of money, abandon your contract, and pay only for the minutes you use, I highly recommend Net10.

I am liking the plan, not so crazy over the phone. The plan works out well since it is not my primary phone line. I still use a house line, go figure. Anyways, I use the phone whenever i am on the road since I don't like being without some form of communication. I used to pay $40 for a basic plan with a certain provider, but the minutes always went to waste. When my contract expired, I decided to go pay-as-you- go and I don't regret it. Pretty happy overall, just wish they'd have some advanced phones, but can't complain.

Of all of the prepaid options out there, Net10 have the most transparent and easy to understand plans. To me this translates to an easy way to know exactly what it is I'm paying for with my cell phone plan. I have had so many bad experiences with previous contracts and trying to get out of their terms and hidden costs (the worst was AT&T/Suncom) and finally don't have to worry any more. There are downsides to having prepaid plans, limited phone options and bad customer service seem to be the worst of them, but its a price that I (for one) am willing to pay for the freedom, flexibility and cost savings they offer.

I was really skeptical to go prepaid after so many years with contract companies, but overage fees and endless contracts made up my mind. I did my research and after wading through so many companies, I opted for Net10 strictly on the basis of their deal – I totally made the right choice. Actual phone plans begin at $15 for 150 minutes and range up over $100 based on minutes and time of activation, but you still must purchase a phone and pay the activation fee. I chose the Samsung T401G and while the phone selection is kind of limited, it is extremely affordable and calling coverage is solid on the Verizon calling network. The best thing (beside the great price) was how easy it was to find and purchase – I went to my local Best Buy and was in and out with the phone in hand in less than 20 minutes. Even the customer service, despite many comments to the contrary, is more than decent and has helped me with a few minor issues in the past. I can even keep track of my minutes directly from the display and re-charge more minutes from the very same phone as well as download ring tones. Texting is affordable at .03 and if you’re a traveler, like me, international calling is a steal at .15 a minute. It’s really a great deal that I’m happy to have made.

My husband has been using Net 10 for the past year. He has coverage in places where my Verizon coverage is non-existent. I've had to call Net 10 customer service several times, and although they may be difficult to understand, they were very helpful at solving my problems. My husband has bought their phones on sale at numerous times and with the help of customer service, we've been able to keep the same phone #. I have no complaints with Net 10 at all, other than wishing they would offer even less-expensive minutes and provide an easier method of transporting phone #.

As far as coverage and call quality I haven't used it enough to judge fairly. I bought it for occasional work use and emergencies. I gave 3 local people the number. I just bought it last Wednesday. Activated it Thursday. I've had between 8 and 12 long distance calls on it that are not for me and are using up my minutes. Much to my surprise, when you call the net10 customer service line it costs you minutes. If you call from your home phone it costs you long distance. After all that, it took the guy 17 minutes to record this simple problem and then tell me they can't credit me the minutes and just that they'll look into it. I would consider this VERY POOR customer service. If their customer service is any example of their phone service, then net10 is not a good choice.

I was initially satisfied with my net 10 phone. Cost at 10 cents/minute is good. There are a number of dead spots in my state with no coverage. The problem came up when I had to replace my net 10 phone due to damage. I bought a new model and when I tried to activate it, the SIM card was rejected. A new card was sent to me in an acceptable amount of time. The customer service person was very hard to understand. Poor english skills. Activation was completed along with the 900 minutes that Net 10 allowed from my old phone. I actually had over 1,000 minutes but could not prove it due to totally damaged old phone. After activation I could neither make or receive calls, however, minutes were deducted from the phone each time I tried. I called again and was told I needed another new SIM card because the phone was activated on the wrong card. I called to activate after the new card arrived. Customer Service said I had been given an additional 900 minutes as compensation for the troubles and the service time extended 12 days for the 12 days I had been without phone service. When I told customer service the additional 900 minutes were not on the phone he said I must have used them up during the time my phone was inactive. None of the minutes or extended time have been issued. Latest call to Net 10 was a waste of time.

Be careful of Net 10! I bought a card of 300 minutes, added them to the phone and received the minutes then my phone was deactivated because they thought I had not bought the minutes. There were the minutes on my phone, plain as day. I had the store receipt for the card but had thrown the card away once I'd used it so I did not have the pin number. Now I'm out $30 and have a useless phone. If you must have Net 10 (which is very economical for infrequent users like myself), save your cards even after you've added the airtime to the phone. If not then you, like me, may be throwing money away. I will never use Net 10 again. To be fair, the call quality and coverage is very good but the customer service is atrocious. They also route their calls to a foreign country and the reps are very hard to understand.

If you let your phone "expire" and then try to use the "re-activation" feature of their website, you navigate a long trail of pages, and then after 10 minutes of this they tell you to call customer service to request a new Sim card. There is no provision for ordering a new Sim card online, and no mention of the expiration of the Sim card anywhere online or in the phone documentation. I got this phone specifically to avoid the notoriously bad customer service of cellphone companies...

Net 10 has great coverage. There's only one dead spot where I consistently lose calls - it's actually better than the AT&T/Cingular wireless I had. No extraneous fees, taxes, etc. I've gone from paying $60-70 per month for 2 phones to paying $30. For what we need and for pure calling power, this has been a great solution.

The customer service at Net10 is the worst I have ever encountered. I paid for minutes online with my credit card, but could not get the minutes added because they said I needed a new sim card. They sent a new sim card, but it was the "wrong" one. So they supposedly sent another one, but it never arrived. After my third call to them, they are now sending another one. This has been going on nearly a month. I would not recommend Net10 to anyone.

Pros-Net10 is easy on the pocket for users with modest time and feature needs. No complicated, costly plans. In general, I have good coverage. The best thing is texting--5c per text. Texts go even where signaling power is poor.Cons-rnPoor connections (frequent dropped calls, fluctuation in connection power) and poor quality sound on the phone.rnTexting, though effective on the system, sucks--how fast can you punch in a meaningful message? It is tedius, and useful only for meaningless teenage chatter. If you have something to communicate you need voice, and it's just to sporadic with Net10 (or it's twin TracFone).

I had their service for about 1 year (2006) before I decided to go back to a standard carrier. The Good: I received excellent reception and no dropped calls. The service quality was very good. It was pretty much like any other cell company except the payment structure. I enjoyed being able to call anywhere in the united states for the same l0 cents a minute. I found it to be a good value if you make FEW calls and are mindful of how long you speak on the phone. However if you use the phone more then 300 minutes per month I would recoomend going with a standard service because of value. The Bad:- I absolutely hated having to enter dozens of digits every time I wanted to add time to my phone. It was a twenty minute process every time as the net 10 operator read off three or four sets of 16 digit numbers to enter into your phone. It was a drag. The customer service operators all had thick accents and seemed a bit bored. I was never ever able to add airtime via their website. this feature never worked. Pages would not load. I may be half way through entering my information then the next page would go dead. I always had to telephone their customer service to add airtime.rn-The motorola V171 (1 of 3) phones they offered at the time is the most no-thrills phone you can find. the screen is tiny. If you like to send text message do not get this phone. After seven months the antenea broke. You have to continue to buy airtime even if you have plenty of minutes.rnrnIn summation, It's a good service if you are on a budget, don't mind putting up with time consuming air time addition procedures and use less then 300 minutes per month.

I bought the Nokia 1100 with 300 free minutes for my wife to take traveling. She never uses it but I use in constantly. I have a Verizon account but have trouble getting coverage and the dropped calls are a nightmare. I will drop it when the contract expires. But with my Net10 I do not have coverage problems anywhere between Florida and New York State. I love it. The customer service is good but the English speaking qualilty of the call center employees is questionable. It just takes patience.

I ordered my wife a Net10 cell phone in Oct, when the Motorola v170 was on sale for $39. I was able to print a confirmation page from the internet after the order, but never received a confirmation email from them. I called the direct-sales dept the next week requesting the order status, I was told the phone was on back-order, and I should call back in a few days. I called back a week later, and found out the order was canceled, and I had to order again at the original price of $79. The manager was only willing to offer 50 free minutes to compensate for the "inconvenience". What a crook!

I've had the phone for 5 months now, and it is the best deal for the money. No dropped calls, no roaming fees, no hidden charges - always $.10. The phone even worked in the woods in northern Canada, where it wasn't supposed to! Easy to recharge minutes on-line

I think NET 10 is great. I love the .10 a minute. Coverage in upstate NY is good so far. I haven't had any problems with my phone or even called customer service. So I'm pretty pleased with them so far. I think net 10 is better and cheaper then tracfone any day . So if you want a basic phone without a expensive plan try them out, by the way the net 10 phones are available at Walmart.

I had trouble purchasing a Net 10 cell phone and wireless plan, so I called the customer service. All they did was repeat the steps that I did in the last few hours, and after talking 30 minutes, they said "I'm sorry, but we dont know. Go to the retail store nearby to buy the phone." I had already told them that there are no retail store which sells the cell phone I want!! What's more, I was calling from a prepaid cell phone from another company, so I payed $8 for this meaningless call.

Great idea right up until the cell phone resets itself and you lose everything. Trying to deal with Net10 customer service, this has been the worst consumer experience of my 58+ years. Get a contract plan from a real wireless company, not one of these fly by night outfits with customer service who knows where.

I purchased a Net10 phone in May, at first I loved it, 10 cents a minute, what could be better? Well on July 1 all my remaining minutes vanished, I had 180 left out of 300, puzzled, I called customer service. The employee was polite and helpful, sort of. I was told my phone was defective and would recieve a new one in a couple of days, which I did, but it was a tracfon with different rates, so I called back. They apologized profusely and promised me a new phone from net10 in a couple of days, that was July 10. I'm still waiting for the phone, today is Aug 31. I have called every week for almost two months now, I've probably spent a half hour on the phone each time. They always promise that my case has been escalated and the phone will be shipped with in a couple of days, they have also offered 30 minutes for free, which I find fairly ungenerous since I've wasted about five hours trying to get a phone that works. I fear the phone will never arrive and if it does something will go wrong and I'll never get my minutes replaced or have to wait another two months to recieve a new phone. My fears don't matter, what does matter is the customer service for Net10 is incompetent, it is full of people reading polite things off a screen, but they don't actual listen to you or say "Wow, this sucks, I'm sorry." Which is more or less want I want now. I suggest to anyone reading this, thinking about choosing their companies, either Tracfon or Net10, to go a different route, I wish I had,,,,everyday..

I have Net10 for three weeks and it works great. You cannot beat the price for prepaid. I use the Motorola v176 and it does the basics very well.
