This phone is the best phone I have had even considering the 2 LG's I have had before. People say that this phone has no picture messaging(MMS), or text messaging(SMS) either have bad knowledge of the functions of the phone or have something wrong with their carrier, and to what I know I thought Verizon was the only carrier and my Moto Q has text, picture, email, and can download a variety of applications (many from the phones supplier and from throughout the internet).
I do however agree that the battery life wasn't good, but what smartphone has good battery life. My solution was buying the extra $60 battery and now it lasts a week of streaming music off the internet, surfing the internet, and listening to music.

I think the Motorola Q is an exceptional phone! The clarity is excellent on both ends, very light weight, the bluetooth pairing was error free, What I would like to see on the next model is a touch screen and more volume.

With Windows mobile, Yahoo Go and Verizon's EvDo Broadband connection, that is good enough. With Pocket IE, I am lucky to access my company's intranet, real estate's Multiple Listing Service and a online contact management system. Don't expect to access the full internet, and I realized only after I purchased that it is different with Pocket PC, so I cannot use GoToMyPC and cannot open most attachment in emails. The search for contact in address book is fast, type 1 or 2 letters and contacts pop up in a blink. With YahooGo, now the email is always on. I can use the IM now which was not in Pocket PC before. With Verizon's fast internet connection and great coverage area, now I can watch TV on the cell phone using a SlingBox connected to my home TV. Something I don't like is the charging and camera. The charging takes a few hours and sometimes even 8 to 10 hours, I guess it must be the charger's problem (based on other reviews). The camera takes about 2 seconds to turn on and a few seconds for another shot after one. The battery seldom last for more than a day, I guess I am using too much, internet, games, picture, tv.

The Q is all they say it is "Awesome". A laptop in your pocket it makes staying in touch a breeze. Email is great, the browser is great and all web functionality you are used to in a pc are found on the Q. Windows Mobile 5.0 offers great features and if you develop on the .net platform you can build your own applications in a breeze and install them in a snap.
The MotorolaQ cell phone is light, thin and looks like a Razr to people. I came from a blackberry and the Q beats it hands down. Motorola built the PERFECT smartphone.

This phone is the best! The Motorola Q cell phone made my life so much easier. My kids like to text their friends and so do I. And because it has internet I can entertain myself while my kids are busy or if I have nothing to do.I suggest everyone get a Motorola Q it is the best smart phone ever!

I enjoy the Motorola Q9C. The design of the phone is great. The one issue I do have is with the sound of the phone. The alarm is not loud enough to wake me and often I miss calls and text messages because I just do not hear them. SmartPhone wise, it is just your average Windows Phone, there is nothing that really stands out about it.

I really like my Motorola Q. There are many functions on the phone that I still need to get familiar with. I really like pink and wish the phone could have been pink, but at the time there was the black and green and I chose the green one to be different, but no complaints.

Call quality all depends on the coverage area you are in - sometimes it is great and other times it is not.
Q is very easy to use, open Microsoft documents, take pictures/videos, customize settings such as background and ringtone.
Design is no different from the Blackberry models. Fits in my pocket but the buttons are easy to hit so I often need to lock the keypad.
Battery life is okay and slowly declines over time. I compensate by plugging into my computer during the day for a short amount of time.
