Samsung announces new versions of the GALAXY S II and the GALAXY Tab 8.9

The company’s line of GALAXY cell phones and tablets are getting some additions. In tablet news, the GALAXY Tab 8.9 is getting 4G connectivity with the addition of LTE. This tablet will sport an 8.9-inch touchscreen and will weigh close to a pound.

Samsung also showed off the GALAXY S II LTE Android 2.3 smartphone, which will offer 4G connectivity via LTE, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 3D graphics, and a spacious 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display. That’s going to be larger than cell phones like the DROID X2 by Motorola and the HTC EVO 3D. It will also have an 8-megapixel camera and the ability to record HD video.
