Verizon rolls out update the ThunderBolt by HTC

Verizon owners of the ThunderBolt by HTC should start receiving a software update to their smartphone. The update will come over the air, so be on the lookout for a software update notification on your cell phone. The update, build number 1.13.605.7, will enhance data connectivity when using the phone's 3G connection, store messages in the correct place within the messaging application, and display Backup Assistant correctly in the applications menu. Additionally, the update will improve the phone start-up time, add more stability to data centric apps such as Facebook, Yahoo! Mail, and more, display the accurate location in the Weather Widget, and load GPS updates for Google Maps and VZ Navigator.

All and all, this software update should give ThunderBolt by HTC users a much more fluid experience with the phone. The update will take up 22.28MB of space (that's really not a lot), and should download and install within 10 to 15 minutes (total time spent to download and install). We recommend plugging the phone into the wall while receiving and installing the update on the cell phone. You can get more information about how to install the update by clicking this link.
