CardStar has been busy expanding the features it offers in its mobile loyalty platform. Last year, the company added FourSquare check-in and a generic prescription card that offers CardStar users discounts on prescription drugs. Now, you can also get Groupon deals listed in the CardStar app. Better yet, you don't have to be an existing Groupon user to see the deals. All you need to do is select Get A New Card from within the CardStar app and select Groupon. Every time you launch the CardStar app you will be able to see available Groupon deals in your area. Since these deals are being served up on your smartphone, it uses GPS to offer deals nearby. So say you're typically in San Francisco, but travel to Washington D.C.. When you use CardStar in San Francisco you'll see all local Groupon deals in San Francisco and when you arrive in Washington and launch the CardStar app you'll receive the available Groupon deals in Washington. The feature will initially be available for iPhone users. We'll keep you updated when additional features become available for other mobile OS' such as Android, BlackBery, and Windows Phone 7.
