Owners of the Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant will be happy to learn that the update to Android 2.2 is now available. However, it's not being pushed to the cell phone over-the-air. Instead, if you want to get the upgrade you'll need to connect the phone to your computer and use the Samsung Kies software, which you'll need to download. In addition to the upgrade to Froyo, it also includes WiFi calling, USB and WiFi tethering so you can use your cell phone as a modem, and various other software enhancements. The bad news is that the Kies software is only available for the PC, so mac users won't be able to get the upgrade.
