How to update DROID Eris to Android 2.1

With many Google Andorid updates becoming available figuring out how to update the smartphone to Android 2.1 isn't necessarily intuitive since it's not exactly the same for all Android cell phones. The good news is that for the HTC DROID Eris it's not too hard. If you haven't gotten the OTA update you'll need to do a hard reset on the phone first. Before you do that make sure you backup all your data on the cell phone since a hard reset basically puts the cell phone back to the settings when it first came out of the box. To help you get the upgrade, LetsTalk's Pat Connor shows you how to reset the cell phone in order to upgrade the DROID Eris in the video below. Shouldn't take too long, but we recommend having the phone plugged in while the cell phone works its magic.
