DROID Incredible by HTC now available for Verizon customers

If you've been waiting for a sleek touchscreen Google Android cell phone for Verizon, you should consider the DROID Incredible by HTC. Sure it doesn't have a tactile slide-out keyboard like the one found in the DROID by Motorola, but it does have HTC's touch keyboard that quickly learns and predicts the word you're typing. While both smartphone's run Android OS 2.1, the DROID Incredible has the HTC Sense Overlay, which offers more screens and tons of user-friendly features like Footprints and Friend Stream. Both the DROID by Motorola and the DROID Incredible are solid phones with similar features. If you're trying to decide between the two models think about how you like to use a cell phone. Namely, is a tactile QWERTY keyboard an important feature for you?

I just finished reviewing the DROID Incredible by HTC and have to say there is a lot to like about it. Top of list is the cell phone's speed. I'm not just talking about flipping through applications, I'm talking about how fast web pages loaded (and that's with 3G, not even WiFi) and how seamlessly it streams videos. While there are a couple of features I'd like to see updated, for example, checking for Twitter updates more frequently than every 30 minutes (you can refresh and get faster updates, but that's not ideal for a heavy Twitter user). That said, it's not a real concern because the beauty of the latest crop of smartphones is how easy it is to update them and receive fixes over-the-air.
