Sprint adds Samsung Restore to its eco-friendly line of cell phones

In honor of earth day on April 22nd, Sprint has added a new cell phone to its line of eco-friendly models, the Samsung Restore. Already in the company line-up are the LG Remarq and Samsung Reclaim as well as some eco-friendly accessories. The Samsung Restore is more than just an earth friendly, basic cell phone, it's got quite a few user friendly features that mean you don't have to sacrifice specs just to have a phone that meets eco-friendly guidelines. On board you'll find a slide-out, full QWERTY keyboard with optical joystick, 2-megapixel camera and video recorder, MP3 player with microSD card slot (supports up to 32GB), Mobile Sync to restore contacts if the device is lost, stolen or damaged, and Stereo Bluetooth. The Restore also comes with its fair share of Sprint-centric features as well such as the Sprint One Click customizable user interface, Sprint Family Locator, Sprint Football Live, Sprint Navigation, and Sprint TV.

If you want to know what makes this Samsung cell phone so earth friendly, the Restore's casing is made of 27% post-consumer recycled plastics and 84% of the cell phone is recyclable. For power the Restore has an Energy Star Version 2.0 qualified energy efficient charger (level V) with standby power loss of less than 30mW. The box the cell phone comes in is also 100% recyclable and instead of a paper manual, you'll need to go online to check out the user manual. Finally, just for fun, there's information on the cell phone to help you live a greener lifestyle. The Samsung Restore will be available this summer in either Midnight or Limeade.
