Does the b.b. Bold have a voice activated dailing fesature ? If so, how mant numbers can be programed?
-tom j lewis

  • Re: owner 0 Post(s) Reply

Re: owner 0 Post(s) Reply Yes, the Blackberry Bold has voice activated dialing. You can voice dial one of two ways: One, you can state the number into the phone (i.e. "Dial 415-999-****"); Two, you can state the name of a person programmed into your phone (i.e. "Dial Mom"). You can program up to 1000 phone numbers into your Blackberry Bold.

Can I get the Blackberry Bold in black trim...instead of silver?
-Thomas

  • Re: Mr. 0 Post(s) Reply

Re: Mr. 0 Post(s) Reply That smartphone is only available in silver. However, if you want black you should check out iSkin. The company has a line of skins that would turn the silver Bold into a Black Bold.

-lisa

  • Re: bold 0 Post(s) Reply

Re: bold 0 Post(s) Reply The Bold is a true 3G smartphone and a little thicker than the Curve 8900. While the Curve 8900 has a 3.2-megapixel camera whereas the Bold has only a 2-megapixel camera. The Curve 8900 is also the slimmest BlackBerry to date.

I plan to backup my contacts from the Bold to my computer. How can I add or edit contacts on my computer and then upload them back to the Bold?
-Andy Jonas

  • Re: Adding contacts from computer 0 Post(s) Reply

Re: Adding contacts from computer 0 Post(s) Reply Use the Desktop Manager. In the synchronize window, go into the configuration tab -> Config Sync. On the config window, select address book, hit the "Choose" button, and select ASCII Importer/Exporter as the application to sync to. Using this, you can only do an import or an export, but not a sync. Export your contacts into a CSV file, edit them as you wish, then import the csv file into the Blackberry desktop manager, and synchronize it with your Blackberry.

Expert Reviews of BlackBerry® Bold™ (AT&T)

Expert Rating: 4.0
by Joni Blecher -- November 3rd 2008

The highly anticipated BlackBerry 9000 Bold has finally arrived and it just might have been worth the wait. The Bold sports all the favorite features wanted on a smartphone: WiFi, 3G data speeds for fast surfing while simultaneously conducting calls, stereo Bluetooth, multiple e-mail options and of course, the ability to view and edit word, excel and PowerPoint docs. But the real story here is that the Bold isn’t just the workhorse productivity smartphone we’ve come to expect from BlackBerry; it’s also a solid multimedia cell phone with a snazzier interface to make it really pop.

Learning something new about the phone each day. The blackberry Bold is like having a computer in your hand. I do not have to wait until I get to the computer to check email.

I love the Bold and I have that for personal use. I really like the quality of the people that assist me with whatever problems that I have with my phone or my service. I do wish the phone was a little smaller but I didn't feel that way until I got my work cell which is a Blackberry Tour thru Verizon. Also, the battery life could be much longer. However,I feel the service all around is better and my devotion remains with AT&T. Thank you~ Melanie Loveland
