I selected a Blackberry 8100 as my first cell phone (I am a 60++ female). Since it is Ruby colored, I call it my Raspberry rather than a Blackberry! This phone is extremely easy to use. In one short month, I have learned how to make and receive calls, retrieve voice mail, take awesome pictures, and send text messages and email. I received my first bill yesterday, and when I opened it, I was pleasently surprised. At this point, I can't imagine life without my Raspberry!

The Blackberry Pearl 8100 is probably one of the best devices in the market. Good call quality, small, sleek, techno-savvy, and I got it for free...:D
I really respect it because it is amazingly robust. It is one strong son-of-a-gun......I accidentally dropped it into a bucket of water, wherein it was fully submerged for a few seconds.......I thought I screwed it.......but after I dried it, it was as good as new.......I guess I got reallllllllly lucky......but still it can take a few abuses before it will die on you. I have also dropped it on the floor (with carpet) a few times......still alive and ticking like it's brand new......I am happy!

I love my phone and my plan... I was a little irritated with T-Mobile having sent all the rebate information and they tried to tell me that I was missing information. Fortunately, that has all been cleared up and I now can say I am very pleased overall!

The Blackberry Pearl 8100 is the best cell phone I've ever owned. The features are phenomenal along with it's capabilities. The trackball is one of the most clever navigation tools I've ever seen. Every day I use it, I enjoy it more and more. I give it an A+.

Then I ordered a blackberry pearl. I love my phone!! There are websites just for blackberry users, which I have accessed for free downloads. I wasn't aware of how popular this phone was until I purchased it. It has everything I need on it and I would recommend it to everyone.

The phone is great! I just got one of my rebates back today =) And T-Mobile is the absolute best...they answer all kinds of questions and there is hardly any wait time and they are very knowledgeable and friendly.

First of all this is by far the best phone I ever had. It's small(really small) it's about the size of a moto krzr while it's closed. Great sound, and has a really good picture. The typing keys are a little hard to get at first, but after a few day I doing pretty well. Plus I got a free 1 gig micro sd card. So putting music, pictures, video and ring tones on it was great. And yes it does work with windows vista. Also if you have any types of razors phone all of there chargers work with the blackberry as well. Trust me you love this phone. p.s if let's talk offers insurance take it. Because the providers won't. And pick up you phone cases here. They're really hard to find in stores.

The Blackberry 8100 is great! Very functional. Some of it is a little anti-intuitive. The t-mobile coverage is sketchy in my apartment at best. I continually loose signal. Surfing the net is a little addictive. This could be why the battery doesn't seem to last more than two days. The actually audible quality of the phone is good, though I do hear a feedback echo of my own voice sometimes. I've had some issues with synchronizing the address book between my phone and computer. Overall, I love my phone.

Absolute best phone I have ever used. I bought The Blackberry 8100 intending to get an iphone when I got more money & I cannot imagine ever getting rid of it now. I am now going to buy another of these and give my old one away. All of my friends are switching because of this phone (I have literally "converted" 7 people already)... It is absolutely wonderful to be able to keep so many memos, and the typing keyboard is much easier to use (and faster) than ordinary dial keys. The screen is just big enough and very vivid, the auto adjust for light is awesome. It has great battery life & charges in about 20-30 minutes. It is very easy to use, the trackball takes about 2 minutes to figure out. The pictures are great, the flash camera is a real bonus. Music sounds good on it too. You might want to consider getting a holder. I have dropped this phone several times because it is so smooth and thin. It has not scratched once, however, and looks like new. I have had it for about half a year. Also, only issue is sometimes there is an echo on calls, but it usually lasts for a few moments.
